Bought a shoulder bag today for £3. Didn't like the badge with a man's name on it but thought I would put up with it for £3. Got home and thought, why is there a badge on it at all?.. Looked up the logo, it is Michael Kors :). Well worth £3 I think!
Don't want to rain on your parade, SDW, but Michael Kors is a brand often copied.
My friend has a bag that after some use says 'M h el K s'. :D
But if you like it, it's still a great bargain at £3.00 even if not genuine. ;)

And of course it might be genuine.

On the subject of Furoshiki, I looked at this on Saturday:

I did see a lovely small silk bag with embroidery and beads on it in a charity shop on Saturday.
It was BNWT (think it said 'Claridges') and I toyed with the idea of buying it to put her birthday present in but then decided against it.
It was £5.00 so a bit pricey.

I'll be on the lookout for silk scarves from now on.
and yesterday found a lovely purple silk small bag (think 4" x 3") with iridescent beads on that her main birthday present will fit in perfectly, wrapped in purple tissue paper.
    £1.00 from Hospice shop.
OK. OK. I know it's not furoshiki, but I'll get there. ;)

From the same shop, I bought (for 75p) a new-in-box Zoella key ring that I thought I might give to my niece for her birthday or Christmas.
Until I saw the exact same thing on ebay for £4.99.
    Hmmmm.

If it turns out not to be genuine I will take the badge off, I don't like it anyway :)

The bag is great, really well made. I am delighted with it.

Beware of the holes it might leave behind.
Personally, I'd leave it as it is.
I have some 'fake' bags (bought in India) that really do stand up to the genuine ones.

I don't want it to say Michael Kors if it isn't.

I have looked at a few links as to how to spot a fake and my bag mainly stands up.The leather is good, the metalwork is good, the stitching is good and in the right places, the lining is good quality material. I thought when it said Made In China on the inside that would be a no-no but apparently many of them are made in China, it doesn't denote a fake.

The only thing I can see which is potentially dicey is that it does not have a serial number but apparently the older ones don't.

So.... I am going to accept it as genuine for now.

The charity shop gods have been kind.

There were 16 piece of Manor Green Denby, all lovely & three I’d never seen that size or shape before. The staff were apologetic, not enough packaging - son (looking wry) went to source newspapers & was welcomed as heroic relief bring the times & a mirror.

Elsewhere in the city (Blackburn), a craftsman’s mug, two teacups & a little milk jug in Denby Daybreak. Plus a little metal glasses case with a fuzzy inside & nice pattern outside.

I have been exceedingly extravagant in the charity shops to reward myself for losing over a stone in weight.
A pink velvet coat from Boden for £40!!! TBF I had been on the lookout for some time for a velvet coat either Boden or White stuff.
A dark turquoise White Stuff dress £12.50
A grey long sleeve Seasalt t shirt £3.99
A Saltrock pale pink fleece £2.50
    An H and M t shirt grey with a silver pattern 99p
A Primark long sleeve dark turquoise t shirt 99p
Pink Addidas trainers £7.99. My best ever CS bargain was my Nike trainers which I use for running; the new ones are for the gym so I don't have to worry about cleaning the Nikes all the time.
I did take a bag of too big stuff to CS and am also enjoying wearing clothes I had that had got too small that now fit again so it's like having a whole new wardrobe.
