I did just that today and it took some determination as it was 0 degrees outside and blooming' freezing in the changing room. Perfect fit tho...so I splurged and paid the full chazza price :o What pushed me into it was getting a last minute invite to a fund raising dinner next Saturday for our local hospice. Invite instructions are 'lounge suits for men & cocktail wear for ladies' so 'the dress' will be perfect. Such a coincidence - must have been fate!! Anyhoo....no further expenditure will be required, (apart from a donation no doubt!!), as I have all the other necessary accoutrements which have been gathered up at silly prices from the chazzas in the past. :D
I'm so pleased for you! :T
You clearly did love it even though you'd not tried it on and for it to fit and for you to have a need (not want :D) of a dressy dress means that it really was meant for you.
It would be a maxi dress on me. :rotfl:

I'm off to the charity shop later this morning to take up some unwanted Christmas decorations - a 18" tree with bows and tiny glass baubles that I put on years ago, a basket decoration that usually sits on my hearth and 2 baskets full of pine cones.

I'm on a roll on ebay - made almost £100 since my first listing. :j
It's made me start looking round my house (which has a lot of stuff in).
I've even been casting an eye over some of my Denby decorative pieces.

Got a monsoon black cotton/lace top for work & some Ronhill running leggings for £3.50 today.

But my best bargain by far was a pair of women’s M&S wide-fit brogues for £3.50! Quick google & they’re worth about £50 and they’re hardly worn! Just a few scuff marks that took a magic eraser to remove. Et voila! New work shoes for less than a fiver!

Ventured out in the cold which quickly turned to freezing rain. I got a brand new box of Woods of Windsor scented drawer liners for 74p, a Blue Harbour checked shirt for DH, blue and beige 99p, a really lovely Accesorize infinity scarf, loose chunky knit (I love a chunky knit) mustard colour £1.50.

I did see a rather nice Mountain Warehouse grey waterproof gilet for £3.50 but it was a size 16 and just too large to actually be effective at it's job.

Wouldn't dream of it, Pollycat. I keep an eye on the bay as that is probably where I will gradually convert my pottery pension. Currently getting rid of a lot of space hog childrens' toys at the minute though (the toys, not the children - they're home made & so will go on etsy) but the three bags for life of Action Men are going to one of the nicer charity shops to be wrapped & sold as lucky dip presents...

So, just after my bargain brogues, I popped into a local cs & found a pair of worn-once merino wool trainers for £3 - google informs me they’re £120 new!

Well done you, those are really great finds.

I got some rather nice tops at the weekend, one is long sleeved with a small turtle neck, black with fiery orange leaves on, it's only Primark but it was the print and the fact that the sleeves are really long (their sizes are very inconsistent I find) that drew me in - £2. A Dorothy Perkins sleeveless blouse with a high neck, frilled front, small floral print in white and a white tie at the neck to make a bow, I will wear this under my black v neck - £2, and finally another DP's top, black jersey and lace at the top, high neck, the rest is dusky pink with black polkadots and is satin type fabric which is pleated and then trimmed with lace at the bottom - £1.

Will you, though? I get the impression you are rather attached to it.

Has anyone used Vinted, Schpock etc for selling clothes?

    Can't take it with you.

Well, I suppose if you've got a lidded urn you could... :rotfl:
