.....and today saw an unplanned visit to the community charity shop where I found a 'Hotter' long scarf in shades of pink/burgundy and dark grey - perfect for a recently acquired winter coat. Priced at £1.50 and still in it's wrapper and with several 'Hotter' tags and labels. However, I'm not entirely convinced it is genuine due to the dreadful quality of the machine hemming. If it is genuine then Hotter's standards are falling! Also found a St Michael's, (vintage?), ladies, 100% lambswool jumper in a lavender shade and classic style, also still in its original wrapper and with tags etc - priced at £2.25. If I am reading the label correctly it is from 1979 and blimey M & S's sizings have changed a bit over over the years as it is quite a snug fit even tho the correct size!!0

Miro, comfort yourself that you are a 1970s size, back when they were a bit more genuine, and snug in lavender lambswool, you lucky soul!
Himself came back not just with a Denby Manor Green 2 pint coffeepot (the abandoned strimmer means I can't check my MG reference cupboard but I don't think I have one This Big) but also salt & pepper pots which "looked familiar" - yes, Rondo & persistent exposure to Denby does that to you... Anyone else noticed in early series of Father Brown there's a Manor Green teapot popping up? I'm getting almost as hazardous to watch TV with as he is with war films, but the whole family location spots Welsh Castles (BBC Cardiff & CADW having a very pragmatic & sensible relationship).0 -

Called in Charity Shop on Saturday and solved my winter coat problem by finding a winter coat and jacket in my size and exactly the colours I wanted. All ready now for winter.

My latest chazzer-finds: 3 big mugs for £1, a ceramic mug with silicone lid for £1 and a metal wire cutlery tray with 5 Christmas biscuit cutters for £1.25. I have plenty already, but these were different silhouettes- the shapes were mounted on sticks (a bit like a bookmark) which made me think they would be nice to personalise / use as table placemarkers etc. Eta: Its just occurred to me that they could be shaped that way to hand from a Christmas tree.
Today I went into a couple of chazzers looking specifically for 2 items of kitchenware. My psychic skills didn't fail me: I found exactly what I wanted, but regrettably at three times what I'd be willing to pay for itValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

No big names but a really good haul of casual tops today from my two £1 shops. Nine tops and then a pair of Faith shoe-boots, also £1, almost no wear on the heels.
Couple of slightly dressy tops as I have a baby shower dinner, a friend's birthday party at a local night club and a Xmas dinner with friends and our kids (with 25 of us going, poor Pizza Express!!) In the next eight weeks where those will be useful.
Then more longer length mummy uniform items for toddler group and the like. Stuff that looks nice but is comfy and I won't fret if it's damaged or stained etc. I need longer tops since having babies, my lower torso isn't how it was.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]
