    14/05/2009 12:40 M2 Motorway Closure
(Information supplied by Roads Service) The M2 will be closed Northbound between Greencastle and Sandyknowes from 22:00 Thursday 14th to 06:00 Friday 15th May. A signed diversion will be in operation

What's that for? They've already said they can't do resurfacing at night, so it can't be that! :rotfl:

Had a lovely drive up to Antrim on it today, but noticed (along with the Westlink improvement) that with all these 3 -lane motorways we're being infected by that horrible disease from GB - middle lane hogs! MOVE LEFT! And relax...

I drove down the M2 yesterday  middle and outside lane hogs!! 50-60 miles an hr with a clear lane in front of them. Lots of people were having to overtake on inside lane, bad - but no one was moving over at all!!

Please why don't people rem the highway code:rolleyes::mad::rotfl:

I actually like the "freedom" that the middle lane hoggers are giving us, its a bit like driving in America, any lane you fancy as long as its on your side of the road lol! I think theres probably a bit of getting used to the inside lane being open to be done after 2 years or whatever its been of being coned off

like I say its probably psychological, after 2 years of 50mph speed signs, its taking a while for people to realise, but yeah it is bloody annoying

You should really flash your lights behind them though. They should be paying attention but if they don't move over after being flashed then they're REALLY bad drivers!

why would you flash your lights? flashing is only to warn of a hazard or danger (or a speed cop).............did you ever think they may not actually look in the mirror at the same time you flash?..................

No you shouldn't. That's road rage and if noticed by the police, that'll be a fixed penalty notice for you. Bear in mind that everyone has the same right to be on the road, and if someone is road-hogging, then you just have to be patient. (And maybe report the situation to the police afterwards)

I'm always really amused at people who think they're much better drivers than everyone else! Going slow isn't an indication of bad driving (unless it's like 20 in a 70). However road rage, like that mentioned above, is an indication of bad driving.

I assume your comment about the traffic cop was tongue-in-cheek?:p That would be an offence as well! lol
