I've been to the "local" Pavers shop, in hopes of getting a pair of shoes to wear with dresses etc - I have a couple of black pairs, but they're just not right for a midsummer cruise ... didn't quite go to plan, because of difficult toenails, difficult ankle bones and difficult arthritis, but I understand their sizing and their heights, so I've ordered a pair oline and got next day delivery. Which won't be tomorrow, as I've only just done it

Plumber was supposed to call at 3, but didn't, and I couldn't phone him cos of a long social phone call from bruvver :j

Done SB, and nothing else. Kept expecting almighty thunderstorms, but nothing except a few downpours ... hope everyone didn't suffer too much.

Afternoon all!


Pavers say they deliver on Saturdays, so the shoes should come tomorrow.

Phoned the plumber this morning, he took responsibility for the no-show instantly, somebody's supposed to be coming this afternoon.

Trying to use my time today:
- lots of seedhead destruction, grasses and weeds
- SB, needs much less time now my loophole has died.
- builder phone call.
- tidied. Ulp.

Since it's a new month, I made a list of what I'd *like* to do before the holibob. :o:o 30 items. Some are as little as "place sellotape in packing pile" others are "do as much gardening as you can" or "get haircut".

I'm waiting for the plumber now, so I can't settle to anything - I think I might do a few of the tiny little jobs (sellotape, I'm looking at you :cool:).

Morning! Yep, the plumber showed up, but the thingy that failed wasn't one of the plug-in piping type things, its integral to my white goods, so it'll have to be ordered. They're contacting me on Monday, hey ho.

Pavers order should be turning up todday, so I can't really work in the back garden

7 more sleeps till my neighbour takes over the care of my house, 8 more sleeps till boarding the ship. I can't help laughing at this whole affair, it feels ridiculous. Fun, but ridiculous.

I've been tidying up the genealogy notes too. Still haven't found the letters I was looking for, that were supposedly returned after unauthorised removal by a cousin, but I've found other stuff - my grandmother's ARP insignia, for instance, that's a big deal.

Sounds like a good day in store, hope the delivery turns up early. Very hot here yesterday and did a bit too much so reigning back today, not going out as planned, need to phone Mother to apologise for non visit, hopefully manage it tomorrow. So exciting about the holiday, I hate airports (like flying), but the cruise we did was so easy, will do it again I hope:D
