It was where we went to the Antiques Roadshow last year, so also a chance to see it more clearly :)

It sounds like a lovely day out. It must have been fascinating to go to the Antiques Roadshow there on an earlier occasion. If you told us about it at the time I must have missed it:o. Did you take something to be valued?

I'm feeling a bit chipper today because not only has the heavy rain stopped:j but I've been into my Boots account online and see I have £53.60 in accrued points:eek:. I rarely buy anything from Boots so I'm baffled where they've all come from:rotfl:. Maybe from buying my electric toothbrush, although it wasn't all that expensive, or from when they had bonus points offers. Whatever it was I might treat myself to something nice and not have to pay any real money for it:j

I hope you all have an enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend and the weather is kind to you. I was a bit shocked to see on the TV weather forecast this morning that there are thunderstorms probable sometime in the next couple of days. I expected a heatwave but often the two go together don't they?

Thanks both! Yep, it was great.

I did take something there last year, CBC. I have a "mug" designed by Ray Finch of Winchcombe Pottery http://www.winchcombepottery.co.uk/ to celebrate the Silver Jubilee back in 1977. Only a dozen were made, for family members, erm, I was a family member at the time :o and it was valued at £100. I don't use it, I keep it in view and safe :)

So today, I'm kind of hiding from the sun, except when I pop out to the garden. And it might be a good idea to also pop out to Waitrose later on and see if there are any reductions today :D

Morning! Hiding from the heat has had a fairly negative effect on my ability to get jobs done :o:o:o Everywhere I look, it's "oh, I must do that". Eep. Though I did have some fun on whatsapp sending photos of melting cats and lambananas :)

So today's list has a slightly serious quality:
    - blog (nearly done)
    - send meter readings to utility provider
    - phone builder, the garden gate is getting worse :(

    - phone the plumber.
    - email rellies
    - sweep floors. Please.
    - start collecting tops to take on holibob.
    - a late addition: research something to take care of moths - I had *three* in the house yesterday, never had that before.

I no longer worry about the outdoor moths coming into the house, I just evict them, but if I see one of the type described by Kittie and the other posters it is all system destroy. Fortunately they are quite distinctive so not many nice moths are killed off. When I had first infestation of carpet/wool moth I am afraid that the killing was not selective:(

Good luck with your list, I have not written mine for today yet, I seriously think that I might have to have a very large piece of paper, but baby steps?

    Have a good day:D

    I love the lambananas :D

Hope you get jobs done... if it's anything like here, heat won't be the excuse it was at the weekend! Rain might be though!

    - send meter readings to utility provider
yes - and about two hours later, a meter reader arrived :D

    - phone builder, the garden gate is getting worse :(
    - phone the plumber.
I swear I was about to do both of these, and my sister phoned to catch me up on stuff, and I forgot :o

    - email rellies

Lots and lots, slightly terrifying, in fact :j

I have insect screens, maddie, so I don't get other types, really. But these, I have to get rid of :(

Thanks! I feel like I have a huge amount to do, some of which I dislike so much (like cleaning :D) that I just don't do it, so it becomes humongous.

I'm impressed with the amount of cleaning I've got done, and I've done some washing up. But with so much dust in the air, I'm definitely diving back into the shower. Right Now :j
