I think having a controlling & philandering husband at the time sent AC a little weird for a time.
    That's a very good point!

And by the way, the new layout here is scaring me just a bit - once again, the "report" button is awfully close to normal buttons.

I've commented on how hard it is on the eyes & on the report button.  Didn't they have to move it once before because it was too close?

Yes I'm sure I remember that. Posts were being reported by accident all over so they moved it.

    Exactly, that's what's scaring me 😁

Just had my next driving lesson, went well in itself but I woke up at 4am and not slept since - after about 40 minutes my co-ordination was completely shot, and I had to finish early.  Though between booking the next and taking me back to my house, I lost very little time.  I have to find a way of getting more sleep before my lesson!  Couldn't drive away from the house, but was definitely on slightly busier roads, hurray.

Are you awake because you are anxious over the driving lesson?

Well, sleep was a bit better - knee problem also disappeared, thank heavens.  Today, I'm determined to get rid of all the unwashed stuff cluttering the porch area, and possibly sweep it as well  :D

Did a YG survey, but still haven't checked where my Asda voucher is.

We have rain!  I doubt the foxes will even be trying to sunbathe (they even sat together yesterday) but I'm not much in favour of being out in the rain either 😎

Today, the big experiment is using polenta - a Jennifer's Kitchen listing I found ages ago talks about making it in the slow cooker - 125g of polenta to 960g of water, which is a *lot* - 7 hours to go, we'll see.  If it will make polenta chips, I'll be *such* a happy bunny.

Archaeological Open Day tomorrow - there's the potential to go with my sister.  She has what she describes as a stinking cold :( do I go?  do I not?  votes please, including telling me to stop being so precious, or hide away in terror.

That does sound like a lot of polenta! And rather you than me!

I think I'd wait and see how your sister is tomorrow? I don't think I'd want to run the risk of a grotty cold if I could avoid it - I've definitely become more precious about this since Covid. (Friends with small children and the perma-cold ... urgh!)

Definitely voting along the same lines as Vix - no need to risk catching and incubating germs for yourself! I'm all for siblings sharing but germs are a step too far!

Wow, thank you both.  I'm sort of surprised you agree with my gut instinct 🤗  She does seem to be more susceptible to colds than I am, I must say, but when I get something, I tend to take longer to recover.  She's fine about having car windows open, and we think the event is mostly open air (like an archaeology dig exhibition 🤣) but ... this is a prime example of how it would be positive to have my own car.  We could meet there, much less chance of being submerged in her germs.  We're due to speak this afternoon some time, then we'll see.

Polenta's been on for about 3 hours, still seems very sloppy, I'll leave it and let it do its thing now.  I have a lot of polenta to use up!  Might take the water down from 960ml to 860ml or something.
