Definite priority, its true! Happened again this morning, I needed to put the duvet cover on the line, and the bolder fox had just moved to a sleeping spot much, much nearer the house. But the duvet needs as much time as it can out of doors, so poor wee foxy 🦊 had to go. They'll be back.
I'm not settling to anything at the moment, partly because some jobs are so little (repair the lid of the recycling bin, again) and some are so "big" (fill in the French form for the tax authorities) and some are ginormously ridiculous (finish the tin of white paint/ clean all the skirting boards with soap and water). Oh, and a new one since last night: once again find a pest control guy, I have rats, for the 3rd time since I moved here. Very determined scraping noise woke me up last night: I got up and moved around, I know exactly where it's coming from.
So today, I *will*:
- finish off the money shuffle, so it's done.
- mend the lid of the recycling bin - there's starting to be a fair bit of cardboard that needs to go in there, and it can't at the moment.
- get ready for eye appointment tomorrow, including taking stuff for the charity shop next door.
2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
I noticed a free gaming "guaranteed wins" 😄 thing on one of my baby HWs, and decided to give it a go. Interminable 👀 I got 31 points, and I'm blowed if I know what that means. If they offer it to me again (or I try it tomorrow, I've got a busy day outside tomorrow, and this promotion doesn't start till 5pm), I might try again. Urk 🙄
I brought the washing in. The 🦊 didn't shift until I started pulling the washing off the line, but then dashed into the undergrowth. I'm very happy about the staying nearby (not so much the dashing, but hey, its a fox!).2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
Love that the foxy isn't too wary of you - just a sensible amount!
I had to have a conversation with the neighbour's orange cat about using our summer house roof as his personal sun-lounge bed! He just stared at me indignantly and meowed loudly without budging an inch. He is a fat lazy old thing and had stopped making the effort to climb up onto anything a couple of summer's ago but I think the sunshine gave him a bit of energy and he ventured up. As long as he doesn't deposit any 'love tokens' on the patio he can stay but I don't relish clearing up hairballs - LOL4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! They want what they want, don't they 😄😺 At the moment, I'm checking twitter morning and evening for catsoftwitter, Larry at No 10, and sophiefromromania. A lot of other animals are shown, of course, its wonderful.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Afternoon all 🌈
Some achievements in the town centre today! Went to the optometrist, who was willing to explain the scan and what it meant (blood pressure in my eyes is nice and low, at low end of normal range). I ordered reading glasses - one eye needs them much more than the other, so they'll feel lopsided, that can be adjusted at a £70 cost, but I don't have to order it immediately. Scan and glasses, £109, not bad, and I've no coupons etc so that's full cost, I'll pay attention next time to the finances. I don't need glasses for driving, yay - very pleased with that, the stresses of re-learning are enough without new glasses as well.
Dropped off textile rags and lots of bits of charity shop donations to the British Heart F people, right next door. Second bedroom slowly getting clearer.
Then an actual shop 🤣 I went to Boots! Interdental brushes, plastic-free antiviral wipes, ordinary antiseptic wipes, toothbrush travel thing, it was really useful. Plus it was still early when I got back and showered etc.
**Plus** I met an acquaintance neighbour, who told me half a dozen neighbours have contacted the police, the environmental services at the council, and parish councillors, about the noisy dog and it's treatment. I think the situation may well be resolved - my pictures and email notes on my phone might help too. I'd love to not have to go through the hassle of moving.

Phew - nice to know it's not just you in regard to the neighbours' dog treatment!
Hope you had your Boots card scanned for the points & extra 10% off!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! I know, sometimes I worry it's me being picky! But it's not - acquaintance neighbour crossed the street towards me, and brought the convo round to the dog herself.

Quite a lot of boring tidying and recycling went on yesterday, plus a couple of short walks to get away from the worst of the barking. Livened up by little videos of my great niece "painting" - I didn't know this was a thing, but a couple of cheap household paint brushes, along with a pot to hold some water, and hey presto, she's painting 🤣🌈 absolutely adorable. Learning all the words that go with it too, it's brilliant to see. And it literally is water, not paint, so no cleanup required.
Today: I *really* want the downstairs liveable - lots of things I've mentioned on here that I haven't actually done, I'm not going to list them beforehand, it's a bit bad 👀 I blame fox-watching 🦊2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
Glad you had that conversation with your neighbour about the dog. Poor thing, and poor you, having to deal with it! Hope it all gets resolved.
And awwwww to your great niece painting. Does she have one of those 'magic painting' books? I remember those from when I was little, no idea if they're still around. You painted with water, and a colourful picture magically appeared on the page, most fun!4 -
Thanks Cheery - yes, I'm hopeful of resolution, but I think it will take a while. I'm back to putting the phone on to "record" when I go out the house, as their big van was outside my house with equipment all over the road - but I timed it so they weren't there, it was fine.
I remember those magic painting books! They were brilliant! She's not there yet, she's only 18 months old, and the brushes she's currently using are 3" wide household paint brushes 🤣 on paving stones 🤣 She's holding one in each hand, it's all very ninja 🐼2023: the year I get to buy a car3
