Oh no, I hope it’s mild for you. And make sure the fluids and tablets are close to hand - you may get to a point where you really can’t be bothered to move to get them, but they really help! Drink lots, sleep lots and do very little! Take care! X

Thank you all :) Madvix, you're right about keeping things close to hand - I'm going to set up a box upstairs and downstairs with aspirin, paracetemol, ibuprofen, lemsip type stuff, tissues, the works.  My sister has a few spare fans, and she was offering me one for a long term loan, I might take her up on that so I don't have to cart one up and down stairs.

Slept not too badly, in spite of the heat, fan was on a lot of the time.  Doing nothing is the order of the day, but I have a supermarket delivery at 1 - 2pm :( and some of it I really need, like toothpaste, frozen peas and sweetcorn, that sort of thing.

Worried now about my AirBNB trip next week, we were meant to be going away on Friday (8 days away), for a 50th birthday for a cousin in Norfolk.  I really doubt I'll be going on that.

I think that you can go out after 5 days now, if you test negative. Dh looked it up for me. Dc has to only do 3 days, us big people 5. Obv, depends on how badly you get it. Maybe call your GP too, as I had a phone appt anyway and he said that if i get a chest or sinus infection (ie green snot) then just call them and he'll send  a prescription to the chemist for me,

Some people recover from it very quickly.  Myself and a colleague were both I’ll recently - him with covid, me with a cold. We had pretty much identical symptoms for four days or so (headache, fatigue, sore throat, cough) then he got better very quickly while it took me a good few weeks to shift the cough and get my strength back.  I’m guessing this is a good example of the vaccine doing it’s job and a reminder of what a pain colds can be!

Hopefully your immune system will know what to do a kick it fast.  We all have our fingers crossed for you!

Sorry to hear you've got covid :( I don't think the colour of line on a lat flow really means too much - it starts pale when you first get it, gets darker (if you were eating daily) and then pales again as it starts clearing up. I was still testing positive on a pcr when last flow was clear, as its possible to do so for up to 90 days - although hospitals now have a fab machine that can show how much of it you still have  (a higher number means less of it, the onc team told me)

If you haven't registered your positive result online make sure you do so - GP surgeries get notified and should still be contacting  vulnerable people to check they're OK and offer oximeters if you didn't have one (it may be hard work, but get it out of the crate and use it - they are super simple - tap it in and put on index fi get and that is it (on all models I've seen - which is quite a lot, ranging from amaz0n purchased ones to NHS ones - they are all basically the same)

Hope you start feeling better soon - lots of rest, fluids, paracetamol and maybe somethingdexongestant if needed, like V1ck5 or 0lba5 oil xx
