Strictly mse stuff today:
- nothing on the Happy Wheel! Curses
- decluttering - found an internet booster in my electrics box under the stairs. Heaven knows how long it's been there - 6 years? Into the recycling. Working on my mum's genealogy notes also counts, some pages go to my sister, some to be shredded, some are plain enough to be recycled as is.
- not great sleep last night, and worse to come I think, so I set up the 3rd tension rod in its place in the kitchen (hours of direct sunlight that mean I close my eyes in my kitchen a *lot*). Had to find some hooks, didn't want to just rely on the tension, felt good to do it. Too urgent to *make* a curtain like I did for my bedroom, but a long piece of plain cheesecloth draped over the rod will do for now. It'll still be sunny, but won't hurt my eyes any more.
- am ignoring the front door for my own peace of mind, not that anyone has rung yet.
- booked an Asda order for a fortnight's time.

Ooh, I've noticed the adverts for the other free stuff, but I haven't gone for it yet either. I wanted to repay the money I first put in - that's slowed tremendously, I'm still 21p short
Posted a card off, worked on more of my mum's notes; it would have helped to do more gardening, but my brain is saying "nooooooooooo! its too hot!" so I'm notI've mostly been cowering from the heat, already

Very exciting: I just spent £19.50 in the sale at Debenhams: joggers, a flared vest, a multipack of knickers, and some socks with the yin yang symbol on. It's getting on for 3 years since I bought any clothes at all, which is why this and the fleece/gloves I bought last week are so exciting2023: the year I get to buy a car4

My Lovely Neighbour (TM) has started bringing back my ordinary rubbish bin after collection 😃
Happy Wheel still doesn't like me any more
Sent some business type texts that needed to be sent.
Family phone calls to do, then friend.
I need to cower inside away from the heat and the sunshine - I might need to do something really boring like wash a bit of the kitchen floor. Sorting the last of the current crop of photos might also work - the outsize ones - or yet more of the notes. Checking the post I've opened but not dealt with would also be a good idea. Ah, choices, hey? They're all fairly boring, though ... never mind, I'm lucky to have choices.

It is one of those rare days where our house has got really really hot inside. Usually, the way we face and the way the sun moves mean that it stay cool (or blimmin' freezing according to dh). Not today. So washing the kitchen floor - and probably lying down on it too - would be high on my priority list!

Instead of the boring stuff, I phoned my brother - we're going to meet him in the evening before we go to the cruise ship, while we're in Liverpool
Oh, and the Debenhams order arrived *already* - amazing stuff! It wasn't only a sale, it was free delivery "in time for Father's Day", so that level of service, less than 24 hours from order to delivery, was free. Astonishing!2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -

I'm even looking forward to going through the new cruise terminal
it sounds like it's doing really well, and any jobs that can come back, associated with the river, are great things. And the views will be spectacular - might be able to see the house I grew up in
