Daughterofsatan has been helping out in the garden today, emptying out plant pots.
I bet you don't eat them when you've emptied them, KC.4 -

I was right that there was no gardening work, but at least I carried the mostly empty green bin to the place where it needs to be picked up. I'm frustrated that I couldn't do any of it, but that's how it is.
I think I'm going to need to buy another dvd recorderI've had to unplug this one a couple of times, and it keeps resetting to the date when it's software was first dated - 2 January 2006 🤣 this is not good! Plus my washing machine doesn't like the spin cycle any more, even I, with my arthritic fingers, can wring out the stuff that's been in there. And I also need to buy a printer/scanner. Sigh ... ah well. That's what the savings are for!

Why are you worried about the DVD recorder? If mine gets turned off it reverts to old date & also cancels all the recordings set for the future. It doesn't affect anything already recorded though. The date on mine is very similar to yours. I have the odd programme from 2010 still on there too.

my sister's lent me a signal enhancer, and I'll have a go with that, but its got *so* many faults now, I'm thinking its on its last legs. Like you, I don't care about the date, or at least I wouldn't care if I could use it to record.beanielou said:

Thanks for that, RT. I'd no idea they were so endangered. Bleep! I'll try to sort out the signal boost gadget first, see if using that fixes my problem.
In other news ... I submitted my French accounts! Latest everOnce again, I couldn't get hold of the most recent year's VAT figures, heaven only knows why the management company doesn't do them, but frankly I'd rather lose the reclaim value than spend another moment's thought on it
FREEDOM 🌞🦄🌺🌈
The tension rods I ordered on Sunday have arrived! Small amount of packaging, just very, very longbut I'm not going to do them today, I really need a break. I might do some pinning later on, for the "patchwork" curtains destined for my bedroom, we'll see, but I'll only do them if I want to do them. Sunshine on the face would be a good idea
My to-do list for March, which I never even got round to posting, has been abandoned almost from the start, and since it's now the 22nd, I don't think I'll bother using it
ETA - nice sunny walk round the block, smelling the flowers, then a pleasant 45 minutes plotting the layout of these lengths of "cheesecloth". On two of them, I've already sewn a channel for the rod at the top, so I'll hang fire now and see if what I've sewn is wide enough for these new rods. It's good!

This is interesting - just had a peep at Argos, as recommended by RT, and came across the phenomenon of pvr recorders - I'll end up with two boxes, I suppose, but pvr is definitely a much more modern technology, and the existing box I have plays dvds perfectly well. I'll have to have a think, but that's definitely a path forward.2023: the year I get to buy a car5
