- washing machine
- dishwasher
- email to Sains (they confirmed they'd closed my account as per my request, but didn't tell me who would have access to my personal information, and it wasn't in the link they sent me).
- email to my MP, about their response to the war, and to stop doing "all is for the best in the best of all possible worlds". It grates.
Sadly, Mad Kitten is a kitten no longer - only greeted me briefly, and is muscling in on the other cats. He practically gallops along the far edge of my garden😸 now that he's trying to assert himself.
I'll be doing a bit of money admin, to save me doing it tomorrow, but that's my lot, basically. There's a possibility the Norfolk rellies will see my sister for dinner on the evening before their flight, but I can't go, I don't have the energy levelswhich is disappointing. Once I get the nets up in the bedroom as well, and the office a tiny bit tidier, that's it, I'm done in the house apart from normal cleaning. 1st April is my deadline.

Ooh, good to have a deadline to work towards 😊 Glad your curtains are nearly all back up!5

Ah yes, that Candide quote... Yep, totally grating.

Right, the money admin I meant to do yesterday has just been done right now
- paid the French management company
- paid the French accountant
- did the money shuffle between my bank and a savings account. Except I needed a security code from the same company twice, and they can't cope with doing those two codes within two minutes, so I have to log back on.
Plus
- I started sewing together the strips of my thin cheesecloth, to make the "net" curtain upstairs. It's going to take a while - I'll do some more today.
- did some frugal brownies - made them even more frugal than usual by sharing the heat of the oven with the parsnips I ate as part of my early lunch.2023: the year I get to buy a car8 -
Good work! I've not made any effort to share oven space lately and I really should so thanks for the reminder 😊8

Good reminder about the oven space KC - we have been stove top cooking as much as possible lately but OH will be doing a chicken and leek pie this week so I'll get him to bake some potatoes as well (sweet and regular).4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Yes, sharing the oven is definitely the way to go - I baked some muffins last night while cooking dinner. Putting the oven on is becoming an event!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks guys! You know what else I did with that oven? The recipe for frugal brownies lists *melted* butter, and I usually do 10 seconds at a time in the microwave - today, I stuck it in the oven when it was warming up. I mean, technically, any use of an oven will cost, but its the combination of uses that makes things cheaper overall, I think.
I'm pleased, at any rate2023: the year I get to buy a car6
