Thank you all, you lovely peeps 🧡💛💚💙
The quality of life thing is important for me too - I'm focussing on that in my own life, trying to get things done so that I can have a bit more quality time - tidying up a bit so I can tidy away ready to get the double glazing people in, downloading statements, blah-bitty-blah. Talking of which, my 2022 diary has arrived! I can write things in! Which means I can plan more things! Wooo ... ooo. Small things **blushes** and trying hard to keep things positive in my life.2023: the year I get to buy a car9 -
Good afternoon! Went a walk this morning, continuing on the footpath I discovered that edges the countryside. Goes through to a lane I know well, which meant that I have a circular route of almost an hour, a lot of it in just-about-countryside.
Not such a good result on the new diary I bought. I completely failed to notice its a 2021 diary, not 2022 - I mean, who sells a 2021 diary in January 2022? For £2.70? I left a one-star review. I was going to send it back, but really, it's more trouble than it's worth. I'm going to experiment with scribbling out the numbers and writing in the appropriate oneswhich I know sounds like too much work, but it's in the house, and the hassle and waste of returning/not using/ replacing is more. Grrr.

@KC that IS frustrating. Is it good for shopping lists or something?4

How ridiculous! Don’t blame you for trying to use it though - returning would definitely be too much faff for £2.70.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Exactly my thoughts, about the faffiness. Alchemilla, I burbled briefly about how I'll try to use it. I'll literally scribble out the dates of each day, and write by the side the *actual* day for 2022. So, today is Friday 21st January. Last year, the Friday was 22nd January. I know it sounds a lot, but there are ad breaks, late-night-I-can't-sleep times, I can do it bit by bit. Still quite a lot left to note this month, and a couple of Zoom talks in February already. I'll get by. Grrr2023: the year I get to buy a car6

I know, I'm slightly concerned about setting myself up for some terrible clash/ ignorance
but I've been using blobs of tippex up till the end of April - tomorrow I'll write out the numbers, and I'll have the calendar on my phone in front of me. I'm going to pretend it's going to be fine!

KC - if you are methodical about it I'm sure you will be fine!
I bought an undated calendar this year and find the organizing time very restful with music playing in the background. Filling in each month has let me think clearly about what needs to be done in the course of each month and have even started diarizing insurance renewals and money shuffle days!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!5 -
Thanks for this, RT, you're right, it's going well - I turn the sound of the tv etc onto mute, and I can concentrate enough to get it right. I've done the first half of the year, but i love the sound of an undated calendar, that would've been just the job in diary form
I've also ( ... wait for it, wait for it ....) taken my Christmas cards downI mean, how am I still allowed to post on here? Actually freaking out about things quite a lot.

Don't freak out, we drove past a house yesterday with the Christmas tree still lit up in the window. I thought of you as we were in Norfolk enjoying a deserted Brancaster beach.
