My tree is still up 😃 And it will stay up until something more cheerful appears. Last year we took it down on 28th Feb 😂😂 One of the many advantages of having no neighbours, and nobody walking past your house at night 😊😊6

Thank you both! I maybe need to be less judgemental of myself ... and I do love modern Christmas cards, some of the designs are wonderful. I'm giving myself a slow day today, but whatever I *do* do, is connected both to my new mega list and to either making my bathroom more presentable or clearing my living room and bedroom to get workmen in for the double glazing. Of such triumphs are our lives made.
Brancaster Beach is also wonderful, staffordia, thank you for that! One of my cousins up there has a birthday in August, and we've been invited up, we should be able to make it.2023: the year I get to buy a car7 -
Another fan of Brancaster here - it’s so dramatic in its emptiness.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

My lights are still on the stairs, the Christmas card my niece made me is still up, as is the birthday card she did most of the work for from her and my nephew...
We used to go to Brancaster beach after school. It was usually cold and windy and there was sand in the sandwiches

We had some lovely Christmas card designs too. A couple are SO pretty I'm thinking of framing them and getting them back out as seasonal decorations next winter 😊5

My downer on myself is partly for the double glazing tidying, and partly because I'm cutting off one little section of my ginormous bookcase, so it can fit in an alcove, and I can buy a 3 seat sofa, not the two seater midget that I used to have (which has gone to the great Sofa Lane in the sky). I'm getting there - it's just slow. I decided to take photos of all the cards, cos so many of them were so beautiful.
To display year after year - I have 3 patchwork Christmas scenes, done by my mum. They're each about the size of an A4 sheet of paper. This is one
And this is the other one, though it's brighter than this.
