Thank you both! Seems mad, but I do my best
I gave myself a shock this afternoon
I did the first job on my new-for-2022 list - attended to all four plug-holes in the house. Couldn't really do much outside, the frost has been fierce all day. Two of the plugholes were quite ill, two were near to death's door
I was a bit shocked. Haven't managed to clean the actual sinks/the bath properly yet, but I'm on the way. Very pleased.
ETA - automatic renewal of my home and contents. It's only £4 extra, and I'm not putting myself to work for that, that's fine.2023: the year I get to buy a car7 -
We had weather of two halves today. A deep frost where we are and where my counsellor lives (up and over the hill and far down the other side), but notably warmer a mile up the road ('up' being the key word here) when I dropped dc at school. Sensible to stay indoors.

Thanks! I was rushing up and down like a mad thing, and tired myself out, but it was really, really worth it. Today, finances:
1. check the insurance - not found an email yet, though first I'll check whether the money went out.
2. do the money juggling for the Regular Saver. Then tomorrow, send it back to fulfil the current account requirements, and request transfer the rest to the Regular Saver itself.
3. transfer the reward payments from my bank to the current account.
4. Oh bleep, first I'd better put the dw on!
After that - probably need something a bit physical. Warmer today, but I'm not going out, it's the wrong timing. Maybe clean the actual sinks, now that the plugholes are clean **hangs head in shame, while sniggering**2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Just done this one, it's a job well done. They were about to send off for the fee via credit card - but they had the Sainsbo one - the old one was blocked because of the fraud, and I never started up the replacement card, I didn't trust them, of course. So I gave them the number of my Visa cc - so thankful for having 2 credit cards! Though they could have taken a debit card too, actually. Happy though, and only a £4 increase in the premium, fair enough these days.Karmacat said:Today, finances:

Martin was warning about big hikes for new customers because they are no longer allowed to sell to new ones cheaper than they offer old customers. Well something like that anyway.

I think I follow that, badmemory, do you mean about the home & contents insurance? That makes sense of the very low increase.
I've done today's jobs listed there, which I realise were all very tiny
even the dishwasher. Still can't do anything outside, it's looking really unpleasant ... so, cleaning the sinks it is, sigh ... not what I actually wanted to do, but necessary
