Those are interesting! I'm sure I've seen them in use in different places, didn't know they were compostable themselves, how lovely. This year, at least, I'll stick with the ruins of the wooden shed - there's a big piece of the roof I can use to lay on top of them as a bit of a lid. But thats a great linkie for the future, thank you!2023: the year I get to buy a car3

Popped on to say I've just had a very, very bland two line letter from Sainsbury, telling me to call their usual customer number and giving me a code to use. I've just had the Waitrose delivery, and I don't think I can take the stress of that call if it doesn't go absolutely perfectly. And lets face it, it's unlikely to go absolutely perfectly. So I'll still do it tomorrow, and concentrate today on cleaning the shopping and emailing my Norwich rellies, who celebrate Thanksgiving today, as some of them are American2023: the year I get to buy a car3

Right, telephone banking is active again with Sainsbo. It took an hour's call, about half of which was spent on hold, two people in the same department - the first one just wanted to get rid of me, pretended to put me on to customer services, but I actually stayed with fraud the whole time, apparently.
Problem was what I was beginning to suspect. First person I spoke to at Sainsbo told me of a "special word" - not a password, so I didn't use it as one. So I failed the security test. I made a semi-formal complaint about that straight away.
First guy told me that at least two attempts have been made *today* to use the card - with Microsoft and Paypal. Blimey. At least it's blocked. He actually asked me if I'd made those attempts, and seemed surprised when I told him I hadn't.
The nice 2nd guy seemed to think they might try to take the payment. Told him I was on the State Pension, and though I have some savings, I live on my pension, that kind of money isn't in my bank account. He said he'd tell someone.
Then I found out that the fairy tale I'd been telling myself - that they've already sorted it in this month long break, and didn't tell me because of the security failure - is completely untrue. Case has been passed to a management team, who've said nothing and sorted nothing. So I made a formal complaint about that, the stress, money, time writing and phoning and being on hold. He asked me what would be a satisfactory outcome - I thought of a professional per hour invoice, and told him £2,000 would be fine. I'm obviously expecting a counter-offer.
Thought I'd better go to my current account people straight away, and tell them the same situation as last month holds true, not to have that payment made. Blissful situation there: the cancellation was permanent, no payment can be made. I'll check on Monday, as they advise.
Astonishingly poor performance.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -

Thanks all - yes, I hope I'm on the home stretch now. I really thought it would be over today, but not yet. I'll confirm today's conversation by the secure messaging - if they don't like the number of messages I'm sending, they can bite me
I actually managed 20 minutes out in the garden as it was getting dark, lopping raspberry canes and overgrown box hedging, until Half Grown Kitten made a reappearanceshe's still after the blades of the loppers, I've never seen a cat act like a magpie before
but its a lot of fun
Another cuppa tea, then taking the computer to bed to read. Sleep well, all.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
So, I need to do a bit more today. I worked on the green bin yesterday, in two sections of 15 minutes each, but I was obviously more well than I realised, and didn't get to sleep till after 2.30am. Need to do more! I'll do more green bin work, for sure - maybe 30 minutes each section. And I need to buy some N95 masks, apparently they're essential for going on planes? I didn't know
but I need more flexibility in what I can do, especially with the new baby, my sister's holiday, Christmas coming up. If anybody has any recommendations on sellers, please post, I'm completely ignorant!
