Thanks all! She's lovely, she was very talkative too, when she saw us.
I'm slow getting going today - starting to catch up on my sleep, thank heavens. I'd like to finish off the catching up from the holiday biz, and some weeding, and that's about it. Yaawwwwn2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -

Such a good idea to 'finish' off the holiday before getting into everyday routines! I've often found in the past that waiting weeks to unpack and wash the holiday gear just results in frustration in the long run.
Today I'm catching up on the laundry, as I missed a couple of loads over the past two weeks. Also catching up on filing paperwork which is sitting in a pile on the footstool staring at me. 😉4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! G'day
hmmm, I haven't finished off tidying up after the holiday
I've done 3 items on my ridiculously long list, plus gone for a walk. Really want to do some tidying/weeding. Life finds a way, as the lovely Jeff Goldblum once said
2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Right, a few ta-das:
- 3 emails sent, woo hoo.
- phone call done.
- paid holiday debts
- paid Regular Saver (hint: I missed the June payment. Don't know the implications of this, but it's done).
- bit of a walk, and I bumped into Lovely Neighbour, a quick chat.
Right, now to go off and cut things/ weed things in the garden.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Things really aren't getting cleared away as quickly as I want - mostly because I'm prevaricating, this is the sort of clearing I really loathe, for some reason
Doing what I can - as a list it doesn't look too bad:
- cleaning - dishwasher, surrounding floor, kitchen plughole.
- tidying - really not much.
- garden - cut some grass, weeding, antkiller spray around the house wall.
- communication - email to New Jersey cousin, long chat with brother - he wants some of my self seeded hazel trees, hurray!
I'm off to the healthy walk tomorrow morning, unless the weather's as bad as it was this morning.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -

Hello all! Yep, I did the walk - I was a bit daft, as I forgot to take any money, so felt a bit odd going to the cafe. I've really forgotten how to go out! When you go to a cafe, you need *some* form of money.
Finances are the thing today, as I'm really stiff from yesterday. Did a YG survey. Downloading statements - did my French bank delete my direct debit-equivalent for my management company? Who knows ... they're all barking mad. I'm also hopeful of doing some tidying, but not sure it's going to happen2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Right, financey things, got to note them as they're all so fiddly. Tidied up the statement downloads from my bank, otherwise, I don't know what I've got and what I haven't. Downloads done. Got my Principality RS payments done until end of August.
Checked downloads from French bank acc as well, all done.
Checked out superdrug - could buy some pretty good birthday cards, and some moisturising cream - but I want to check how much of the latter I already have in my stash before I buy more, I suspect I have quite a lot here and there
French management company has its annual meeting later this month - and because of covid, they're doing it online. Which means I could listen to it! Listening is better than spoken, but, business French ... hmmm. I'd like to try!
I'd also like to pay the management company today, but I'm all out of banking mojo. Not a bad result. Cup of tea coming up2023: the year I get to buy a car5
