Right, mindful that this is a Saturday, and I *meant* to go for a walk - it's tipping it at the moment, though. So I took the soaking beans from the fridge where I'd stashed them, and done the quick boil *plus* chopping lots of onions, even fried them before I added them to the slow cooker, and swished the pan to clean it. When I'm good, I'm good
I'm read to spring outside at a moment's notice (except for boots!) so in the meantime I might finish off the download pages for the society photographer - and blimey, he really did photograph everyone - Elizabeth Bowes Lyon in the year before she married, her bridesmaids, Matisse, even Joseph Conrad. I'm a bit snookered right now. Day started brilliantly, I finished off the newspaper archives for the photographer, and then decided to do some weeding. Went pretty well, but I was doing a lot of two-handed stuff, ie not using one hand to support me in one way or another. So, my back has gone. So since then, lots of email deletions - a thousand or so, actually
Might turn the heat extra high when I have my shower. And the only useful thing I can think of doing that lets me just sit here is to find a baby cardi pattern that I like. Preferably for free

Thank you all! It didn't interfere with my sleep, which kind of surprised me, but it's still hurting, and I still can't do normal things like bend to get a used cup of a low table that's by my armchair. Sigh ... Never mind, I'll do what I can, including getting all the garden waste I cut last week into the green bin. Oh, and I cleaned the kitchen table, **finally**

Weed gathering was much easier than I thought - I went back to my old system of supporting myself with one hand while weeding with the other. I dug up a hazel seedling for my brother, we'll see if it survives in a pot till he collects it, and sent 3 buckets of weeds to the green bin. Had to move all the bins - flying ants are erupting underneath them
