Yep, grim here too - I spent half the afternoon working on the sofa under a blanket with a hot water bottle 😂 Hope your afternoon was similarly cosy KC!4

Definitely, thanks both - laptop on the knee is lovely and warm, even on the big flat piece of ceramic I use as a rest. Then I was just doing a bit of paper sorting for the office - putting the French/ English papers into years, plus a bit of sorting in the kitchen, and I made 3 days worth of lentil stew type thing, for adding to veg.
I might head off to bed quite early ... very blowy, very distracting here. Hope all are safe, no chimneys or even roof tiles crashing down

Morning! Blissfully better, thank you
gave my pillow protector a wash, moved to the centre of the bed, and wore a long sleeved top - which all meant that *everything* was comfier
I'm very happy. More work to do on the pillows in summer, but this will see me along nicely.
I gave myself the morning off, so I haven't really done anything, which is fine. Rain has gone, and for the moment, it's hardly even windy, quite a few bits of blue sky around. I reckon I'll just carry on with what I've been doing in the house, and get out there this afternoon.
Clearing the paperwork has shown me quite a few admin bits I need to do, though, so I do need to do them this week: one thing I've discovered from February's finance work is that if you abandon something financial half done, you often have to start again! Not every time, but often enough that it becomes really inconvenient. So I'm on the case. I might even read the elec and gas meters, not done it since last month, and that was on a Thursday too2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Well, I thought I was excited last night: my best friend from school contacted me on faceache! We lost touch when I stayed away after finishing college, and my parents moved from the town where I mostly grew up, but she's moved as well, owns a business, sounds like recognisably the same person, I'm so chuffed!
And then ... my sister had this idea about us going away at the very end of June, after all restrictions are dropped, and to beat the summer holidays, and we've booked it! A two bed two bath self contained cottage, out in the wilds in Zummerzet. I'm giddy with excitement! We'll both have had two jabs by then, there's plenty of space, I just can't wait. Only four nights, but like the caravan holidays we've done, we can use the trip to see other places, and the list is endless, its just far enough away that although it's not unfamiliar to us, there's loads and loads (and loads) we haven't seen/done. Trip Advisor does mention a few places that are permanently closed now, not just with covid. I hope places can hold on, for all our sakes.2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -

Thanks folks
Yep, she's the only person I've ever described as my best friend
so we'll see what happens.
Equally thrilled about the holibobthere are several things I could winge about, like everyone
but I'll just mention one: I've got to be careful of my posture when I garden! I planted my feet too far apart when I was gardening yesterday, and I wrenched my knee somewhat - limping around the house now, absolutely self inflicted. Ridiculous. Or Riddikulus, either will do. So the tidying up is going slower, but it's still happening. So is the rain
tomorrow too. Rats, my house is going to be so tidy! Well, that's good too.
