That's so true
and here I am again, with my beautiful online friends who've been with me constantly
not a *romantic* heart, you understand, just gratitude.
I feel quite late this morningawake for 2 hours overnight will do that. I have a phone call scheduled to bruv in the late morning, and oh bleep, I haven't put the dishwasher on yet ... then I confess it's washing the shopping, as the next monthly shop is due a week tomorrow, and I haven't put the jars and pasta away from the last lot yet
but its soooo beautiful out there, lovely light blue spring sky, I have to be out in the garden. Yellow warnings for the weather for days after today, like most of the country, so I have to make it count right now

The shopping washing can wait. Get thyself outside whilst you can guarantee not being blown away!

If you haven't washed the last lot of shopping, do you actually need the next one yet or can you skip it? I'm just debating whether I can make it another week without a veg box delivery...4

Hi folks! Yes, thats what I did, off to the great outdoors
lots of couch grass dug up, lots of soil diverted away from where it can pour onto the new fence, lots of dead oregano stalks cleared away to let the fresh growth come. So many weeds around some plants that I put some fresh soil down to let them breathe. And some sweet potatoes I never used (covered in mould, I'm sorry to say) are now in the compost bin.
Greenbee - you're right in that I don't really need any more storecupboard stuff, but what I do need is veg - I can hack using fresh onions and garlic these days, and I don't have any right now, but also the frozen veg that comprises the rest of what I eat is very low stock: spinach and mushrooms, and that's about it! So I've ordered 10k of the stuff, enough for two drawers of the freezer. And since I'm buying that, I might as well max out on storecupboard (as well as pesto, it now turns out I'm addicted to tinnned butterbeans). There's frozen fruit too, mind you - blueberries and raspberries. I might even need to buy toilet paper this time round

Glad you got some outside stuff done! I'm trying to adopt your approach of doing little bits consistently and seeing it add up 😊4

I'm *so* tired right now - 3 bad sleeps in a row, unfortunately. The digging out of shallow surfaced weeds has something to do with it - much more painful on my arthritic shoulder than bramble roots. I'm gong to maneouvre my pillows round a bit, see if I can't make lying down a bit less painful (its always bad - my shoulders are very square, which I like, but there are disadvantages. Hey ho).
Looks horrible outside, though, very different from yesterday, which we all knew was going to happen, so .... dunno, the office, I reckon, after some downtime 😁 which will definitely be science-fiction based 👽 I love these new smilies2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
