Definitely a day by day thing KC & I'm sure the rellies get that , but it is nice to have plans in the calendar rather than being in a constant state of limbo! Invitations these days are more about feelings of inclusion and love than anything else! xxx

So good to have a choice and not have to give a definite answer yet.

Morning! I spent a couple of hours yesterday with my sister walking in the local forest, it was amazing - we got pretty lost, in spite of the route I'd printed out, lots of tracks made by actual wildlife - we saw deer! Real live deer leaping about
Tiring, of course, so I just pootled about for the rest of the day, and I'm going to be careful today as well, though the wm and the dw will be doing their thing, of course. I'll find some easy finance wins to do - even finishing opening the post and sorting it would be a win, ahem ... plus a trot around the diaries.

I did amazingly little yesterday - put the wm on a couple of times, and the dw, but I didn't even walk round the block, I was shattered. Spent all afternoon reading a really good new apocafic author I just discovered, so I was happyToday, quite a bit better. So I've made a little list: 2 birthday cards to send, an email, join u3a, cook the onions and sweet potato that are rapidly dying in the fridge, shower. I *might* chop up some laurel - its already chopped down and at the front of the house, it just needs chopping up to put it in the green bin. Half an hour would be okay, I think, I'll put a timer on if I do it.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

They are, aren't they! I don't think I'll be doing it, actually - I walked to the postbox and though I felt okay, I can also feel the lack of sleep and the tiredness, so I'll do the laurel tomorrow - neighbour is helping, but its collected on Tuesday, and I'd like as much as possible to go.I *did* do the social stuff - the email and both cards. No craftwork, but just glueing a relevant postcard to one of them, and enclosing a couple to the other, then writing about it, it was nice
Feels good to do the social stuff first. Popping on here, then another kind of social stuff: rejoining u3a. I have no friends at all in this town, which has made life difficult this year, but I *do* have acquaintances I've made at various functions - got to do whatever I can to nurture those. And its enjoyable.

Good morning
I took the hint from yesterday and did a social thing first - wrote a letter to someone I haven't had any contact with at all since before the lockdown. I couldn't hold a phone convo, I'm terrible unless its "lets do this, where shall we meet" but letters are do-able. I'm very happy with that.
Today ... hmm. I did manage to put the dishwasher on too, any spare energy needs to be chopping up laurel - my neighbour was actually doing some a couple of hours agobut I should play *some* part. I sorted out yesterday *how* to pay u3a, but haven't actually done it yet - ye gods, I need things to go slow. Ah well, slow it is.

Glad you're getting some things done, and what a good idea to do social things first
I've been writing real letters recently too (I always did to one friend, but done it for others lately as well) and I really do like it. And I LOVE receiving them when people write back of course!
Good luck with the laurel, glad the neighbour is helping out. Will it all go on Tuesday, or will there still be some more to deal with after that?
Your walk in the woods sounds lovely!5 -
Yep, I arrived at the "social things first" completely by accident, and its a winner, for sure. Drafted an email too. The forest was wonderful - a lot of it is open gorseland, its the medieval type of forest, very special. A local council has also done some chainsaw-type carving to make steps, monkey bars, meeting places, that sort of thing. And the dogs with dogwalkers were sort of pleading to be stroked
one came to stand right by me, leaning against my leg, it was special.
Right. Threatening clouds loom. I'll get on to the laurel while I can.Positive vibes for all.2023: the year I get to buy a car4
