Travelling On

LOL - ladies - I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one!
Even before all this happened, I always travelled with hand-sanitizer, a package of dettol cloths and my own travel pillow and pillowcases! I can remember a snobby stewardess (in a free business class upgrade) assuring me that the trays had been well cleaned before we boarded! I continued to wipe it down & wondered if she'd ever read statistics on where germs on planes breed - LOL4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Yay, I'm glad to read there are others
I'm getting a bit of FOMO, I must say - or maybe it's cabin fever. Realistically, there are plenty of people staying really close to home - its just that its not newsworthy. I wish this was over, I really do, but I don't think there *is* an over in the way that I'm wishing.
Ah well. I'm lucky to have choices. I cleaned a *lot* of shopping yesterday, its all dry now, so thats going to be stacked away. I might be adventurous and learn how to use my new garden hose, because the garden could do with a really good soaking, I think. Indoors, there's also the genealogy option - I'm organising all the info I have on my millionaire relly, I've got to the oral history from her grandson, it's very funnyAnd I have some exercise DVDs - bellydancing is one! - that may get used today

If you are belly dancing today, do get it done earlier rather than later as more heat is coming....NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

Hi we're due to go on holiday (england) soon, been booked for ages. To be honest wish we weren't going, but its all paid for and its a big family trip. I'm glad you brought up the issue about pillows etc karmacat as I was umming and ahhhing about taking our own pillows, but your've helped me make the decision- ours will be going with us now.

Apple, you're so right about the timing - and I've missed the boat (posted a birthday card to a 6 year old instead
) but that's okay. RT - yeah, I've lots of different bits of me that don't really add up to a coherent whole
I was a ballet dancer though, until I was 19, and other forms of dance are like magnets to me
Rabbit - thats exactly how I felt about the cruise in March - the week beforehand, I was ringing around everywhere trying to cancel it. We could have just not gone, and lost the money, but at that stage it still didn't feel risky enough to do that, they'd had 5 cases in the whole of the islands at that stage - what we *did* do was cancel the coach tour on that island, as we couldn't be sure that cleaning protocols were in place so early on in the pandemic. It all worked out, and I'm pretty sure yours will too - deffo take those pillows, and lots of sanitiser etc. Best of British.2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
You think that you posting a bday card is an acceptable replacement for belly dancing, do you...?????????????

Morning! So, the going-away-on-holiday thing has been kind of resolved, in a good way; bro is coming down here, travelling 2 days, here for 3, and ahem, one of the things he really wants to do is help me with my garden
I'll make him stop after an hour, but if anyone else at all is in my house, as opposed to delivering stuff at the doorway, it needs to be cleaner (the sink in the bathroom needs a plunger, its that bad). The 3 days start a week tomorrow, which is good: so, two cleaning thingies every day for a week, and I'm sorted, plus a rest day. Plus as many half-hours in the garden as I can cope with, so he can get to the stuff that I really can't do, and follow up on 3 or 4 items from the finance list, like log ins. New accounts etc will have to wait
