1. Put mastercard onto automatic, go paperless2. Update my security document - in process.3. Check what savings accounts are active - in process.4. Standardise the details I have on them - in process.5. Shuffle money between savings accounts, add new ones.6. Buy some premium bonds.7. Check with bro on the probate bank account. - in processMost of this thats left is really, really fiddly. I haven't touched the mastercard yet, and bro is rushed off his feet, I'm not going to rabbit to him about the probate account. I need to standardise the details, ie check what each is earning, because I'm not sure my list is quite up to date, and then I can decide what to move - I'm going to do it quite simply, the 0.1% or less money is going into premium bonds, government income bonds, or a cash isa.Thats the plan of action, running alongside:- getting fitter.- carrying on with the garden (and contacting the fencer!).- cooking - I don't think about food until I'm really hungry, and I *must* stop doing that.- downloading anything left for genealogy, especially before my home-based library subscription to Ancestry expires at the end of August. That'll do!

Lots of stuff going on for you KC! Definitely a good plan to keep it simple on the nightie front. I've found even some supposedly 'beginner' patterns quite baffling - I think it's REALLY difficult for people to communicate something they know well to people who don't know it at all. Good luck! X6

Way way out of my comfort zone & beyond my capabilities.Awww, thank you guys! It's financial office admin - it's fiddly, and detailed, and needs writing down - but it's done by everyone who has savings but not enough savings to go to an IFA. I have a bit more because I'm past the end of my working lifeAnd in the first part of my working life, I was in financial admin and management, for a big charity, so it's known to me. For me, the fiddliness is daunting, but do-able. But I appreciate your support, because the thing *is* daunting!

Is there a utube video on threading your particular machine?

Thats a good question, apple - right now, I don't know
. It's old, but it is computerised, and it's an Elna, it's pretty good. It *may* still be threaded
I don't remember, its still stashed upstairs and I won't be getting it down till I've done a few craft-type things on my kitchen table.
Completely cloudy grey sky today! Dear me ... I need to finish off cleaning all the shopping thats hanging around. And I confess, I found some cheese from last week I didn't put away - its been exposed to very hot temperatures in the porch, not safe to eat. Annoying to throw away food that was perfectly good when it arrived in the house!2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
If you say what model of sewing machine you have, someone might be able to help (I have an old "original electric" model of singer and I have the instruction booklet which I could photograph the relevant bit of, if it were that one)Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
