You all knew! You should have told me
I did put it in a cotton tote bag, but it leapt out so it could do its thing. I feel 15 again - cookery class, and I put a pan of carrots on and didn't bother to put any water in. My boyfriend wrote a poem about it

Oh bless you (the carrots!). My suggestion would have been the bag - but I think I’ve had things come out of them before, so I do understand how it might have gone wrong!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Oh dear to your woolly escapades!! I can just imagine that being the sort of thing I'd do. I might have tried to stick it in a pillowcase, but likely wouldn't have secured it properly and it would have had the same effect. Still, no harm done except a bit of vexation I suppose on this occasion!
Glad you had a lovely time and got back safely. Sounds like a marvellous experience!5 -
Hello!
Really glad you enjoyed your cruise, and got home safely before everything went totally crazy. I agree, the Canary's are surprisingly interesting.

Welcome back! Glad you're home safe and sound - and have since managed to buy food supplies!

For future ref (being a know it all) wind the wool into a hank, tie wool round it in the four quarters then put it in the bag. I used to do that many years ago when I bought wool cheap from the market that had been all over the floor.

Hello lovely peeps
thanks for the tip, badmemory
The chenille that felled me is made from polyacrylic, so I'm going to cut my losses and chuck it in with the ragging, which will take a while to get to a charity shop, but will do it, one fine day. I won't use the fingerless glove either - the fabric of the strands themselves are breaking, after that one wash, its not robust enough for gloves. Will do research in the future about what it can be used for - at that rate, though, it might just end up as padding for the wallhanging I'm planning.
I gave myself yesterday "off", more or less, apart from domestic duties, and today, I really need to get my act together.- I hadn't wanted to spread the contents of my case around the house. Bits to be just sponged down, and the insides of the case ditto.- 2 pieces of handwashing - the silk tunic and the Hobbs dress. Neither were actually worn, so there's no dirt, just general freshness.- bit of sweeping in the living room.- phone sister. I suspect Mother's Day was *not* fun for a still active widow who can't see her adult children, but I didn't want to phone her on Mother's Day itself.- follow 15 minutes Pilates exercise that her teacher put online.- check in with internet friend in Brooklyn, she needs a carer and she's safe at the moment, but who knows. Heard about the first of my internet acquaintances to fall ill yesterday, a woman in the Midlands with breast cancer. And then ... finances! Pay remaining cc, pay French accountant, check out Martin's recommendations for a quick account opening. Thats just the beginning, there's a lot I need to do.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Karmacat said:I gave myself yesterday "off", more or less, apart from domestic duties, and today, I really need to get my act together.I did astonishingly little yesterday! Tried another walk, in the opposite direction, but just as many people around. I was determined to try again very early this morning, but there's a really hard frost, and even with a scarf that will set the shingles leftovers twanging. So, no walk.- Bits to be just sponged down, and the insides of the case ditto.Cleaned some stuff, but didn't finish.- phone sister. I suspect Mother's Day was *not* funYes, amazing how much there is to catch up on after 2 days
Of our two Sun holidays, the first one, in Kent, has offered a full refund, so we'll be taking that.
- check with internet friend in Brooklyn, she has a carer & is safe at the moment, but who knows.Yes, she's okay for now.

Now you just stop that 'must do more' talk, missus, or I'll be round (ninja style so no one sees me) to tell you off in person! You have the 'opportunity' to do things in a different order form your preferred order (as do we all). But that doesn't mean you absolutely have to do them. -you can still choose what you do and don't do.One thing you need to do is what beanie says - take care xNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5
