I got it into my head that it was a shorter one, about a week, but maybe I'm confusing it with the Norway one she went on earlier.4

Obviously not a Princess cruise then...
If it's not adding up, compound it!2 -
I think Karma was going to the Canary Islands.
The only ships that I’m aware of that currently have problems are out in the Caribbean.I know that most ports were closing down last week, and ships were not able to dock, even if healthy. What’s probably happened is that her ship missed some ports and had more sea days. I think Karma should be back this week, with some stories to tell.
i was due to go on a cruise on 29th March, but it’s been cancelled. I was very relieved to be honest, with the was things are going. With what’s happened today, it wouldn’t be able to proceed anyway. I have the choice of a full refund, or a 125% Future Cruise Credit. I gone for the refund, as I’d rather have the money, as everything is so uncertain.
its astonishing how quickly events have happened. This is so big, and it’s very difficult to get your head round the full enormity of the situationEarly retired - 18th December 2014

I think KC mentioned being away for a fortnight so I imagine she'll be back home any time now. Hope she has managed to enjoy her cruise.

Hello lovely people! RT, Goldie and taka have it right - I staggered home on time on Tuesday, absolutely shattered, but no problem disembarking in the UK. I'd bought extra mobile data before we left, so we kept up with the absolute basics of what's been going on - it was shocking to read, but even since I came home (uh, less than 36 hours!) things have moved on really fast.
The only sickness we faced was my 3 days of sea sickness at the beginningwhich meant that when I finally emerged, my sister had nodding acquaintances all over the ship
Plus on the way back, some poor bloke (we think it was a passenger who'd stepped in to give an extra lecture) was taken off the ship by a helicopter from the Spanish Coastguard, he's now stuck in La Coruna, presumably in intensive care. Heart problems, poor man.
The crew were splendiferous on all levels, and my gratitude to the maitre d', the chef and our special waiter (even though we were in the buffet, not the restaurant) knows no bounds. Utterly top notch. The Canaries? I'd no idea they were so interesting, I've been underestimating them as a travel destination. Taking a 40 seater bus to within 100m of the top of a volcano is astonishing. The tree line on La Gomera is at about 1 kilometre - trees grow *above* that height! Saw a few cats, all obviously much loved pets, nicely chubby and sleepy (except one that was pawing in the volcanic mulch of a container plant, he was *very* alert. Still rounded though!). Loved it.2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
Oh Karma, it sounds like you had a wonderful time and it's so lovely to read of someone doing something normal and FUN! So glad you had a great (relatively untouched by coronavirus) time! And you've piqued my interest in the Canaries too - that's something to file away for future reference.
Glad to have you back though - I'm sure I'm not the only one who's missed you!

Hi madvix! Thank you so much for that
It really was fun - and on that note, I should say we saw two pods of dolphins, and a pod of porpoises (they're littler, noticeably). Our squeaks of joy were heard over about a third of the ship
