Delichon, removing a laptop hard drive is pretty straightforward, just a case of removing some screws while wearing an anti-static band unearthed to something suitable. After that you will want an effective way of destroying it, like whacking with a hammer 😉
I find it's straightforward enough to reformat a device fully, using a few free apps to ensure that any data is suitably "scrambled". Like yourself, however, I've nothing more serious than bank logins to worry about.5 -
Morning everyone! Well, the weather really cooperated - there was rain when we were in the house (and snow when we were in the restaurant at the other end of the train ride) but for the journey itself (yep, we actually went on the train, or choo choo as it must now be called) there was glorious sunshine - the free range cows, sheep, pheasants, pigs and buzzards were all out there to be seen, rootling away. Like every other tourist railway, its staffed by volunteers, nearly all active-grandad types, so a toddler investigating everything in sight was like a magnet to them
plus my nephew is on crutches still, it was quite a combo. I didn't get to go in the Tesla, though! Four adults and one chunky car seat for Tiny Humans mean two cars, basically. Never mind, I watched the "Come here Tesla" thing happening, though he couldn't really press the button to call the car in a public car park.
Very tired when I got home, so of course not a single other thing was done. Two full days to go now, so I'm getting clothes together, tidying, stashing and cleaning is in overdrive. Computer will have to wait a few weeks at least, I think, but I'm glad I can refer back here to know what to do, I appreciate the info.2023: the year I get to buy a car9 -

Thank you all! My to-do list is a little alarming
but the only financial thing on there is to move money into my current account, for the monthly "pay money in" conditions, and I've just done that. The only cash needed is euros, and very little of that, and I've got some. Otherwise, plastic is available
I'm off tomorrow morning, I've **just** managed to catch my neighbour to ask him to take care of the house, so thats okay. I'll pop on here early evening, I suspect, for a bit of a rest!
Hope everyone has a productive, peaceful March with no rude interludes from a certain lurgy unwelcome visitor. In the words of Morecambe & Wise, "bring me sunshine"2023: the year I get to buy a car5
