Dd and I were out in that stair-rod rain. It bounced too! Unfortunately, we were on our way to the pool, so had to travel home in soggy clothes, as there's only so much soaked-ness that the hair dryers can tackle.

  • KC, do you take any supplements? I've no idea what would be the 'right' ones, just wondering.
I think pottering is the right way to go though , just a little but then followed by a rest.
I know you are but, look after yourself.

Thanks both :) not only is it a balance to look after myself, but the balance changes! If it stayed the same, I'd be in clover with it (though I wouldn't be getting any better, so ...) it's a fine line to walk. Supplements, I'd let my B vitamins go, actually, Wish, thanks for reminding me.

I'm glued to my armchair this afternoon/ evening, sorting notes about a little family in my family history, I find it quite soothing and quite energising at the same time. Weird. Early night to bed, though.

    Thank you all.

Dh can't understand that I'll have the tv volume on 5-8 while he has it on 22-26!

Bit late to the party...but I'm one for a quiet TV. Mrs SJ family literally have the TV on from the moment they get up to the moment they go to bed, despite not actually watching it! I've started to avoid going as it makes me ill with Mrs SJ dad having the volume at 70+ (and this is with hearing aid in)!

I'm late to my own party now :D I feel your pain on that Jimmy - when I stayed with my mum for a few days, even ten years ago, I'd end up sitting in the dining room half of the main room, it was agonisingly loud! There were complaints from the next door neighbour :rotfl:

It took a long time to wake up today :o it's raining, What energy I have is spoken for today: I need to get a shower, I have a supermarket delivery arriving this afternoon, and I need to ring my sister, as there's an anniversary and I just want to make contact with her.

At the moment, there's very old episodes of Time Team on Yesterday :rotfl: with the lovely Mick Aston.

Good morning :) I haven't updated, although I've been on mse, because I just haven't done anything mse/future plans related. Feeling quite a bit better today, and I was *incredibly* sleepless last night - woke at 3.45, and only got another hour or so of sleep. But thats partly because I have more energy and I need to do more during the day. So thats what I'll do :)

I need to bear in mind, a big goal for tomorrow is to go to the Egyptology monthly lecture: thats a 40 minute train journey each way, so I'm not sure I can do it with no after effects, but I have to try.

The weather looks *extremely* grumpy! And this afternoon has 90% rain forecast, so I'll do ten minutes outside during the morning - bins, standing rubbish, that sort of thing. I do have a yen to do a bit of harvesting in the garden. After that, tidying and clearing and rationalising in the house, mostly upstairs, I think. Reporting back later :):):)

Happy Friday to you too, beanie - and to all of us on mse, come to that :)

Just a tidying/ cc paying/ emptying rubbish/ nice hot shower kind of day :) which is a relief. The promised rain was here on and off all day, so I'm very glad I never bothered trying to get the washing line dry. My sister ran some errands for me, bless her, so I might have the energy to go to my thingijig tomorrow. Hope so :)

A nice hot shower sounds lovely! Heavy torrential downpour here most of the day - definitely a day for being cosy inside  though we did just tog up and go for an evening stroll - full changes of clothes all round when we got back  :rotfl:

Cosy inside after a complete soaking can feel very good :) I got fairly soggy just trying to beat the doormat clean :D there was 2 months worth of garden litter and dried out soil :o:o:o and it felt important to carry on once I'd started!

Not going to my thingummajig today: 40 minutes on a train is one thing, but I timed out the whole trip, which I don't do enough, and it works out to at least 6 hours :( thats too long, especially considering I didn't feel strong enough to wash my hair yesterday :(

So today, another 15 minutes or so of tidying, getting round to washing my hair, I'll have a walk beforehand. Actually, just found a flea market I've never been to, 15 minutes (frequent) train journey and only 10 minutes from the station. I'll go there, I should possibly just do the tidying, but I'm going stir crazy. At least it will be a lot shorter than the Eyptology - I need to pace my recovery properly.
