Weird isn't it. We bought the house as students because it was affordable for two people with no income :D (paid for by rent from our friends), and the bus route was a priority. The windows and doors did rattle a lot when the buses and lorries passed. Our lodgers liked the N1 postcode (they could pretend it was Islington, not Hackney apparently). I liked the off licence over the road ;)

    Wow :j:j:j
I used the 38 and 55 when I lived in Hackney and Waltham Forest  I doubt we all overlapped, but how wonderful this is :j

I have to confess, this morning I missed the council walk :o If they'd come by me, I'd have joined them, but I saw them setting off in the opposite direction :o and it just didn't work. Must stick to my plan (start to get ready at 9.30, leave the house at 9.40).

    So, today:
    - pay cc
    - get the other lot to give me the refund they want to give me - if they'd let me use the card, I'd have used up the refund now. I'm tempted to look for another cc offer, and close this one, they've been so dim.
    - speak with sister, Sun Holidays ahoy.
    - do a net worth calculation, I've done a few bits, need the rest.
    - weeding.
    - planting! I need to pot on the little bay plant. I suspect I need to pot on the fennel (which isn't doing well - those coconut pots that "disintegrate" aren't what they're cracked up to be), and I'd love to get the creeping mint in the ground.

The ragwort will have to wait for another day :p

Why not pit the creeping mint against the ragwort and see who wins...!

    Right, update time:

    - pay cc
    done

    - get the other lot to give me the refund they want to give me - if they'd let me use the card, I'd have used up the refund now. I'm tempted to look for another cc offer, and close this one, they've been so dim.
done. And they were so irritating, I've told them I'm closing the account: lying about what was said 2 minutes earlier in the conversation is not a good move.

    - speak with sister, Sun Holidays ahoy.
Yep. Sun Holiday later this year, a couple of SunHols back to back in Cornwall to make it worth the drive, and a biggie next year. She wants another biggie this year, I won't be able to do that.

    - do a net worth calculation, I've done a few bits, need the rest.
Doing. Until its finished, I've no idea. Oh, but I did take nearly £25 from the "Rewards" section of NatWest, sent them to my current account.

It seems like I've done more than this - actually, starting to sort my finance papers too, they're all over the place.

Ragwort is quite shallow rooted KC. I know it can look a big plant but it still will be fairly shallow rooted. You'll be surprised, loosen with a fork and tug and it will be gone :) (I have experience with this :rotfl:)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

So would I, apple :rotfl: I've just been wandering about on the Pensions board on here because of what Watty's been posting :) should have been seeing to the mint, or carrying on with net worth calculations. Watty 1- Karmacat 0 :D
