There is also quite a lot of ragwort around so I'm sure you will benefit from a calmer feel in your garden and the butterfly will still find food.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Thanks Watty - and hello! I just posted on your diary
The garden being calmer - thats a really good way of thinking about it, thats right.
I hopped over to Croydon shopping centre today, researching something there (I pretended it was about the novel, and it sort of is, but I just wanted to see it too, my second proper job was in Croydon). It was, how shall I say, horrifying :rotfl: a temple of Mammon and non-essential purchases. Mind you, the full-on body glitter statue of a jaguar was pretty good :rotfl: I still love glitter and sparkle.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Fellow glitter lover here too. Recently did a 10 k race dressed in a camouflage tutu with camouflage mixed with glitterMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

but it bore out a superstition of mine. On an impromptu trip like that, I check the outgoing train time, but not the return, I don't like to be committed to one train, so I just turn up at a railway station when I'm ready.
The superstition is that the day has worked well if a train comes along soon. Today, it came along 3 minutes after i walked into the forecourt  it was a good day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Glad you had a good day and got whisked away by a conveniently arriving train. I find those glittering centres of mass and unnecessary consumption difficult these days - am always glad to leave0

Usually, I make a beeling for John Lewis in Oxford Street, and thats that. But I wanted to investigate the food court made up of shipping containers (weird!) and I worked in Croydon 40 years ago, my first non-secretarial job, I was interested to take a poke around. Horrendous **faints**2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It is, beanie, a huge immigration building, its even signposted from the train station. That whole area reminds me of the 2nd year evening school I did to get my little business exam. The Accounts segment was a nightmare, I had to study on my own in the end. I walked into a pub after one particularly bad session and downed a double martini in five minutes :rotfl: very Croydon :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
