Enjoy your day by the sea KC, its not the weather for it here but I always find that time by the shore is very restorative.

Love a L@keland shop but it would be possible to spend sooo much in there. There is a shop just a few hundred yards from one of the places I used to work, piled high with so many necessary seeming and yet unnecessary goodies. I now tend to restrict myself to 'earning' L@keland vouchers and spending those online.

Be another big step to completion when you get the tiling done :j

You must have been quite near me when you were at the garden:)

Beanie, I did think that I might be:D First time that we have visited that area, it is so lovely, we were staying near to Glenrothes and had a lovely day driving up through Cupar, along the coast, through St Andrews (didn't stop, would like to visit properly) then to Cambo and back to base.

:o:o:o by the time I walked round Lakeland and Debenhams, my feet were really hurting - detouring to the beach felt like a really bad idea :o

It was a lot of fun! I tried really hard to buy those crumpet moulds - but Lakeland's were aluminium, and Bertie whoosits were non-stick, I want inert - stainless steel or ceramic. "Plant based" sun lotion from Clarins has a huge list of artificial chemicals in it (I took a photo, but I'll look online for organic) and as for organic nail varnish - hmmm, well, apparently its the most difficult of all, top level brands have *more* chemicals in, to get more staying power, so to speak :rotfl: I've found a brand name, Benecos, thats worth investigating.

My sister and I both really want to go to Roslyn Chapel, and I want to go to Orkney, but I don't think either of those are happening this year.

Bought the first item on my little list: Orly Breathable Nail Varnish, best of the bunch according to the Independent earlier this month, a tenner on Amazon, so it cost me nothing because of my SB vouchers :) It's bright blue :)

Found the crumpet tin things: stainless steel, which is what I wanted, £8 for 2 plus delivery - JL strikes again :):):) though I haven't ordered them yet.

Glad you found a suitable nail varnish - sounds good. I wonder if it will smell different to the usual if it doesn't have as many chemicals etc?

Been to Rosslyn a few times - well worth a visit and there is a Chapel cat [called William from what I remember]. He sleeps on one of the pews and ignores the ridiculously large crowds. I've usually gone mid week and out of the main tourist season as it can get so busy its difficult to see the carvings without bumping into people and I'm just not that keen on crowds :o

I think Roslyn has just gone to the top of our list :)

The council's walk is going ahead today, so I was told last week, and online seems to agree. After that, its about going back to the garden, and possibly harvesting some rhubarb. Great article in The Guardian about living well, quite a few of the things I do, but some I don't: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2019/may/26/happy-ever-after-25-ways-to-live-well-into-old-age

Argh, can't even carry on looking at mse, I need to get out if I'm going. Have a good morning :)
