Phew ... there's definitely no more brambles to cut back, which means that digging up bramble roots is a bigger part of the navvying ... this is not good! My shoulder's ker-nackered for today, so I wasn't out there as long, I'll have to do half roots, half ordinary weeding. OMG, I'm onto ordinary weeding!!!

Chat with sister, that was good too.

Oh, and I did my first Pinecone survey :j No idea how they're credited, but I guess I'll find out.

Well done on getting rid of the brambles but the roots sound hard work and potentially painful. Would you consider paying someone to do that bit of the garden clearing?

Morning! To be honest, teapot, there isn't that much left to do, I don't *think*. And nobody's going to be as careful with the existing plants, or the worms, as I am :o speaking from experience. My aim is to get all the brambles gone by the time I go catsitting. But I had wondered about it, believe me :)

Genealogy group today - it takes place in a church hall (of course :rotfl:) and they want to PAT test all computers used? So that will be interesting. General faffing about beforehand - last month, I did too much on the computer beforehand, and got so bored of computer work, I had to leave the group early :o so although I do want to open the new account today, I won't do much else online. Except wander about on here, of course
PS Pinecone sent me a credit email, and I recovered my login details. Wow, they pay really well - I also altered my profile, it had been set to "surveys once a fortnight", no wonder I wasn't getting many :rotfl:

I love Pinecone too but wish they'd send more surveys my way especially as I have my profile set to whatever the maximum frequency is. Redemption levels are low too which means we don't have to wait months to reach one and the ability to cashout via Paypal is great too as far as I'm concerned. I don't really want or need vouchers.

I particularly like the fact that despite reducing the pay per survey to £3 in recent years they still pay members who joined years ago at the rate of £4 per survey:j. I don't think many companies would do that. Full marks to Pinecone:j:T

Wow, absolutely - I wish I'd taken note a long time ago, as I say :)

Okay, the new bond is opened, fairly simple in the end, though I do dislike handing over account details about other organisations (my current account). Hey ho. They pretend its about where to pay the proceeds, but since they also have an option of "pay proceeds into this account", its either, charitably, hidden money laundering checking, or more realistically information gathering :)

I know what you mean re other people not being careful with plants etc, I had to pay someone to look after the garden while I've not been able to. Lovely guy but I suspect he has dug up bulbs and also when planting out, the taller ones weren't put at the back and plants weren't spaced out properly. I don't know a lot about gardening but I began to think I might know more than him!

Hope the group was enjoyable this time

I like Pinecone too, have only fairly recently been accepted for their surveys but of the last 3 I've been sent, I was screened out of 2 and the one yesterday had no places left by the time I saw it. Good payers though as you say so I get why they are popular.

Navvying at the brambles :) a nice space has been cleared that gets plenty of sun, a fruit bush or a set of kale will sit there beautifuly.

:eek::eek: To the thought of someone wanting to actually plant kale...:eek::eek:

Please opt for a fruit bush...:D:D:D

One of the reasons I love Pinecone so much is that I've never been screened out in the, probably, 12 years I've been a member:j. This never happens with other survey companies who screen me out at least 7/10 times:eek:. I thought Pinecone pre-screened people before sending them surveys they definitely qualify for:think:

Yes I was a bit surprised, the first few were fine and I cashed out no bother. One of the most recent surveys asked if I smoked or was currently giving up, when I replied 'no' to both they screened me out :(
