Apple, thats a lovely offer, thank you for that! But I've realised something - I might be called away at any time when they're due to do the catsitting :( and I don't have any control over the dates for the weeks that I've offered. I may have had a lucky escape with the paypal payment being declined :o they'd have ended up dying in their packets :( It just shows, buying things spontaneously can often waste a lot of money ...

Still, I managed 45 minutes collecting dead honeysuckle stems, plus grass that had grown over the carpet acting as mulch by the falling-down-shed. And its nice to start chucking a bit of bark chipping down :)

Excellent gardening KC! :j I'm impressed at you being outside for 45 mins - is it super cold where you are? I was out for about an hour this morning (in bright sunshine!) shoveling snow and carting chicken bedding back and forth up tge garden and I'm still not properly warm now!

Think I need some kind of snow suit :D

Glad you made it to the seed swap. I stupidly missed our local one last weekend. Mind you, I don't really need any more seeds - I had one of those 6 issues for £6 offers on a gardening magazine and they sent about 6 packets with every issue

Thanks Cheery :) Today's been noticeably warmer than Thursday and Friday, actually, and this morning I took a long detour via the only charity shop in my whole town that sells furniture - I'm plotting to buy a leather or faux leather sofa, £170-£200 plus delivery and carting the old one away :D

I think you do! All that work and sunshine and you're still not warm? It must be **freezing** by you

I'm glad I did too - more local links, the guy taking the door money was the one who delivered their newsletter to my house yesterday :D The swap in my county town was much bigger, with plant stalls, talks and a photography section, but its a 20 minute rail journey away, and part of this whole thing is to make local links in walking distance. Sorry you missed yours, though - even though you've got seeds, your community sounds so vibrant, lots of fun to take part in.

    Morning :)

Between the walk yesterday morning, and then the work in the garden, I had such a good sleep - didn't even look at the time till 6.50, which is utterly blissful for me :) such a good lesson for me, that I must remember.

Which means, at least two things today that are very physically active (or one thing twice :rotfl: in other words, I'll be working in the garden twice today :rotfl:). Bye bye weeds :)

Nah, came in for lunch, then out to do more (clearing underneath my huge blackcurrant bush, it was brill, and the last of the brambles coming over the *top* of the fence!) then desperate to wash my hair. Then I popped over to Westeros :)
