I've contacted them via email. They do apply eventually but it can take quite a while

They did ring me up earlier in the week trying to keep me, but I stayed with my decision to leave as so many bad reviews can't be wrong. Also had a few issues with them myselves this year most recently when they took my DD payment 5 days earlier this month with no warning, not sure if it was because I requested to switch. Also payment made to clear a small debit on my account still not showing as paid, even though it left my bank on 29 December. I emailed to check and response says I should hear in 5-7 working days.At least the fact someone rang me to tempt me to stay gave me the opportunity to check if they had actually received this payment, which they had as a note on their system, but several days later still shows in red on my account so glad I checked. I made the payment as I didn't want to give them an excuse to refuse the switch as I had read others saying this. Luckily as I am not in credit so I won't have a battle to get it back from them like lots of others have. Also raised the early DD payment and he couldn't explain that either. Glad I am leaving and would not recommend.1

They seem to have closed down all methods of communication now - are they in financial trouble?
Edit: It seems Facebook messaging is this week's best way to contact them. Still waiting for the refund though.0 -
I think they are. They tried to take my DD despite having left them at the end of December. They also tried to take it 5 days early. They recently have a CCJ against them and their credit rating has fallen.jamesperrett said:They seem to have closed down all methods of communication now - are they in financial trouble?1 -

Just as well I phoned last week to arrange my new fixed rate. TBH I have only experienced one issue with them and that was trying to get a refund after changing tariffs last Feb. Since then everything has gone smoothly and the new rate is really competitive.jamesperrett said:They seem to have closed down all methods of communication now - are they in financial trouble?

I'm still waiting for their reply to an email sent on 31/12/2020.thelight said:poppellerant said:Can I ask how people are managing to contact Utility Point? I've tried emailing them last week and haven't had a reply. Live chat doesn't appear available and their phone lines just aren't answered.

Funnily enough they tried to do the same with my friend who tried to contact them. They grew bored of waiting for a reply and I warned them they might be going under after seeing this thread. - so they have started the switch to another supplier, cancelling Utility Point's direct debit on the same day as starting the switch. That didn't stop UP trying to take the DD a week early though. Very sketchy indeed.Saskwatch said:

I have been trying to contact utility point for 10 days now.
Online chat not available phone calls not answered and emails not answered.
Got a response on Facebook in about 10 minutes.
What a disaster of a company.
