They now owe me an extra £30 for their late refund. 11 working days after producing their final bill (which only appeared after I contacted them).0

I got an email acnowledgement from UP saying they would pay me the £76.26 they owe me within 10 days. That was in November-2019. I've received nothing. I left them in August! I won't be rushing back.Is the ombudsman any use?0

OK, thanks for that advice CRISPIANNE3. I did just get through by telephone. A very pleasant chap told me that they has something of a backlog due to Covid-19! I'll have a look at resolver.

Also he did say he would add the £30 late payment compensation fee to the payment. I won't hold my breath.

I notice from a credit checking service I have access to that Utility Point's credit rating has plummeted to 17 out of 100 and they advise cash transactions only. They have also just had a county court judgement against them. I have just switched to a different supplier. Not sure if these guys are going to last. Be aware if you have a large credit with them.2

I won't hold my breath. They probably owe you more than £30.OFGEM mandate they must repay credit with 10 working days of bill. If they don't you are owed £30 compensation which should be paid automatically within 10days of them breaching the OFGEM requirements. If they don't pay the £30 within 10 working days OFGEM says they must pay another £30 compensation.I'd point this out to them and ask for extra compensation due to the delay. After chasing them after they repaid the credit just before xmas, I pointing this out to them, they have now paid the £60 compensation that OFGEM mandates. Nearly 8 weeks after my final bill.I'd advise anyone to avoid Utility Point.

Can I ask how people are managing to contact Utility Point? I've tried emailing them last week and haven't had a reply. Live chat doesn't appear available and their phone lines just aren't answered.
