    Using someone else’s card.

And? You do realise its your money, not the banks? So its your call on who gets to access that money, not the banks.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
  • Known as fraud.

I think you are mistaken. What you quoted is not fraud - although it is probably a breach by the cardholder of their contract with the card issuer. It would only become fraud if (and when) the cardholder claimed they had not given the card and PIN to a third party, and then claimed a refund from the card issuer.

    Isn't that quite clear?

(PS - as I posted earlier, I do think it odd that the OP is willing to accept any loss at all, in the circumstances she posts).
  • In which bit? Have you never given your other half your card and asked them to get something from the shop for you whilst you were there (or a child, for example)?

Subsequently claiming that it wasn't you, nor anyone you had authorised - absolutely agree - very deceptive practice.

This is a first for me - agreeing with a Cardinal!
  • I can't see deception in that no, however more than deception is required to create a fraud offence.

I agree. Deception may be an element of an offence, but not an offence in itself.
  • And? You do realise its your money, not the banks? So its your call on who gets to access that money, not the banks.

I don't always agree with you either, but I definitely agree with you here!
  • Using someone else’s card.

Have you any understanding of the law? Using somebody else's card can't be an offence if it was freely given to you (together with the PIN) for a specific purpose. It may be a contractual breach, but it can't be a crime - unless the cardholder denies doing so after the fact, and claims a refund from the card issuer.

Your posts aren't exactly helpful as you seem unwilling (or perhaps unable) to clearly show your line of argument, rather than posting pithy but empty one-liners.
