If I were genuinely claiming fraud there's no way I'd accept a £500 hit to avoid another £1500 loss. I'd take this all the way to get the full £2k returned no question.0

If found on the ground it’s theft by finding.
Any use of the card after the theft is fraud.AndyMc..... wrote: »Who said it did?
 You did.
 Blank rubbish0

 My point entirely.
And I certainly wouldn't be asking about just taking the £500 hit versus a £2k hit on a moneysaving website. Unless of course....;)0

 You can’t read.
Given the op doesn’t know how the card was stolen there is no robbery.0

You said "Only if force was used"
I can read. If force was used it is robbery.
None of us know how the card got into the hands of the person who is not the OP.
But if force was used, it was robbery.0

Given they didn’t even see the offender then there is no robbery.0

Time to stop arguing semantics, boys. The OP probably won't return to view the thread anyhow..AndyMc..... wrote: »Given they didn’t even see the offender then there is no robbery.0

so we are stressed at the paypoint you enter your card into machine...........
you allow someone to be so close they see your pin, what did you do with your card after you paid for your goods? did you put it in your purse/bag/pocket/buggy if one of these then you were robbed/pickpocketed.
did the robber have a hoody on hiding their face by any chance? could this have been staged, sounds like it could off was the card used in your area once stolen? did you ask stores for cctv footage at the times of the transactions taking place? which by the way you would not be privvy too

I can't even be bothered getting into. as I said you had no idea on my personal circumstances. I have a million things goin on personally. one of which is being a witness. other things and I don't need to explain my life story. so 500 at the minute isn't the biggest thing in my life to fight for. 2000 however if they took the full lot is alot more, so I would have to go through and seek this through the proper channels. the card was took out off the top of my pram as I was packing. as I said it was Xmas. the shops was mad busy with 2 under 2 year olds. I don't personally have a copy of the cctv. but the store obviously have access. it's not hard with the date and time.
But for the 50th time my question wasn't if the bank was right or not in refunding me. or do i really care on your opinions if you deem it to be or not. so maybe go back and read the original question. you don't need to know details or the background of it0
