Just hope you didn't do pasta with it? I did that once to DH, I was convinced that the 'bolognaise' was just that and he cooked it up and did pasta too.....turns out it was chilli :rotfl: :rotfl:

Not too sure about the salad cream with cheese and beetroot, I may try it next week though.

We too have lots of cheese left and the box of crackers hasn't been opened yet either, so I may bring cheese and crackers for lunch too one day.

  • Lunch taken to school twice in the 2 days we’ve been back so far. More loaded potato soup that was left over. It’s going well so far. And having left overs makes sure I go to the staff room so I’m not walking through school with hot food!

Salad cream saves on butter calories :)
  • Just catching up....
Wednesday was day 2 - I took left over bolognese for lunch
Thursday was day 3 - I took ham salad sandwich and some fruit
Friday was day 4 - a colleague brought in lunch which was broccoli and Stilton soup and prawn sandwiches

Week one officially done and I’m feeling very proud of myself. Hopefully next week will be a success too! Happy weekend everyone
  • First week done so that takes me to 4/22.

Took a potato and some out of date coleslaw in for lunch yesterday. Pricked potato all over with a fork, wrapped it in kitchen roll and microwaved for ten mins - ta dah! “Baked” potato with cheese and coleslaw. Was actually really nice. Had an orange then for “dessert”.

I’m going to try baking some bread rolls this weekend. Just hope I can get them soft enough to use for lunches!
