Another week completed for me! 8/15

I am on a course next Mon-Wed with lunch and refreshments provided, so that’s an easy three days sorted (I’m going to count them in this challenge as they are working days where I’m not buying lunch.) But I’ll update those numbers next week.

  • Hello all,

not sure if I failed or succeeded today! I did take in lunch, but hit a wall at lunch and bought a chocolate bar & energy drink from the shop.

    So still on 11/18.

Going well so far - but another challenge has popped up. Just spent 3 days on the road with hotel stays ( one with inclusive breakfast, the other with and evening meal ) and although I took packed food for the first day - for the following 2 days I bought service station sandwiches / coffee shop breakfasts. I did look out for local sandwich shops but failed.

The question is ; how / what could I pack in the car boot that I can have for lunches over 2 / 3 days? I have a cool bag and freezer packs.

    May start a new thread!

If you have cool boxes you could have salads, pasta with sauce etc.

I have some form of soup which I (at the time of making) froze down, I shall report back later today what soup it is.

  • Could kick myself! Made a cheese and caramelised onion pickle butty for lunch but left it the porch as I've locked the front door! Argh!!!!!! Was all going so well this week too!

Other lunches this week have been:
Tue - leftover chicken casserole and pasta
Wed - leftover chicken casserole on toast sprinkled with cheese (like a homemade pizza - really enjoyed it as was craving pizza.)
Thursday - leftover chick pea dhal with tomatoes and rice

    Total now on 12/20
Can't believe I've missed today though - boo!

Some great meal ideas here everybody - going to definitely steal a few!

Snap. Day by day still doing a pack up but can’t find the time to update.

I think I am upto 14 including today

Nothing exciting - usually a sandwich or a tin of soup, always at least 3 bits of fruit and a sweet snack

    All going strong
