Looking at the numbers, this month is flying in! Three weeks done.
Was good on Monday with the chilli and rice I'd made the night before but Tuesday is our busiest day in work, so I can honestly say I have absolutely no idea what I ate for lunch that day - although I do know I brought it with me. Wednesday, I had lifted a sandwich out of the freezer that morning but I'd managed to leave my phone at home so I dashed home at lunchtime to get it - which meant I could use my microwave to defrost the still semi-frozen sandwich. Was a bit better Thursday, having made some pasta and a mushroom sauce (with my own home-grown mushrooms - feeling very pleased with myself there) but not so organised for today, meaning Friday's lunch involved me grabbing my lunch bag and throwing random things into it!
I ended up with:
- two thirds of a (slightly stale) wheaten loaf I'd baked last week
- a bit of banana bread (that my friend had baked and given me last night)
- the end of a salami sausage (that I'd bought in the reduced section in December for 7p)
and...
- an avocado.
Wasn't too bad actually! I do need to get into the habit of being organised the night before though. I may not be as lucky with my "Grab'n'Go" lunch next time! :rotfl:"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."0 -

Hello all,
So glad it's the weekend and I'm off work!
Friday was my half day, but I did bring in a cereal bar, sachet of cappucino, and an apple for breakfast.

Slightly stale bread - I recommend a panzanella ! It's great, as you can just throw it together!

Morning,
Chicken, lettuce and salad cream sandwich for me today.
Bought my lunch yesterday, so I won't be doing on Friday this week.
I'll update the list once I get to work.

After a very practical retirement lunch for a colleague yesterday ( on the boss!) I felt virtuous as I took a tube of " overnight oats" on the train for brekkie.
Today is pack up of smoked mackerel , crisp- bread, salad with dressing, separate, in a mini jar."Is it that the future is so uncertain, the present so traumatic that we find the past so secure? " Spike Milligan0
