:hello: Good morning all
It's yet another glorious start to the day here .....
..... but could really do with a splash of rain for the garden,
so please send some my way rose.
I was out early this morning giving all the tub plants a good
drink of water which was gratefully received!
Got fingers n' paws crossed re hospital appt tomorrow rose -
hope all goes well. xx
Sorry to hear about your poorly hands and wrists mummy2.
I think the wrist straps would help enormously! :j
Re the dreaded snails - they all come to mine to party! :rotfl:
I pruned back a large grass type plant t'other day and there
were loads of the blighters hiding in between the lower leaves -
all feasting away! I dislike killing anything so plonked them in a
bowl and took them far far away to feast elsewhere. No doubt
there will be plenty more to take their place!
Have a lovely & relaxing Sunday all. Take care. xx

Love the pic Alfie. I know someone who just got snobbier and snobbier with age. Lo we need to watch out.
Yesterday was very tiring but good to meet up with my nephew and GF. They loved the trip down the river but it was very hot. Due to their mobility problems we stayed near the boat in Greenwich had a sandwich sat on a bench in the shade and then later had a meal looking out at the river. DH met us there and joined us going back on boat.
Rose sounds as though you are doing really well. Hope your appointment tomorrow goes well. Had to smile about wedding across the road and then the marching.
Mummy2threeboys it was ok about the tickets bit like you and the house sitting another time. Agree with Alfie a wrist strap could help. My DD2 was given one aged 14 and often wore it indoors.
Very sunny here this morning. Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing and hugs for those needing one.0 -
I am having dinner cooked for me yaaay. Neighbours son and his girlfriend are through for the day. So he is cooking for them (he's a chef). Wont be able to get up to their flat so he is going to bring it down once it is cooked. She asked if I was ok with fish so that is the only thing I know about. Looking forward to it. Anyone seen ff is she ok?0

Morning peeps. Dull and overcast here but not cold. Hopefully it will brighten up as the morning goes on. I am being picked up around 10am so a bit later this morning. Kettle is calling so off for a cuppa. Best off luck for today. Hope everyone is ok. Just heard weather forecast and we may have more thunder later.:(0

Morning. Rose it is dull here so far but extremely hot and muggy. Hope you enjoyed your meal last night from neighbours son. Great to have a chef around. Hope your appointment goes well.
We have GS here again over night as it teacher training day. Forecast is dull all day. Hope to be able to take him out.
The roads around here are crazy as they are resurfacing one off our road today. A whole long road of cars parked both sides to be parked somewhere else. We are end of terrace and yesterday when DH moved our car from the side road to the garage someone drove into that space straight away. He said he had been driving around for 20 minutes looking for a space. Just too many cars now.
Alfie not seen any snails so far. A couple of years ago we were invaded by them. We even had one way up on the bedroom window.
Firefly big Hugs.
Sheils hope all went well on your journey.
Indie hope it is not too hot for you at work if you are bake today.0 -
Morning, warm and muggy here at the moment. If i get too hot leanfun i go and sit in the lounges for a few minutes as they have air conditioning on in there..lol. I must have your snails as there are loads out my back. Got to watch dog with them as caught him eating one a couple of years ago. I plant garlic in between plants and that seems to keep them away from them but put some flowers out front in tubs this year and am trying egg shells in them. So far so good. Right off to work soon, hope you all have a lucky day.0

Morning all,
Had a decent journey yesterday although not any sunshine!
Enjoyed our visit to Kellie Castle and gardens and went to see Book Club last night. It was brilliant, hav not laughed at anything so much for years.
Going into Dundee today.
Re snails - saw birds must have been having a feast at home as several shells were lying about.
Have lovely day and good luck.

:hello: Good morning all
It's another hot, sunny n' muggy start to the day here - the
heat was unbearable through the night.
Been out watering again (late yesterday evening/early this
morning). Me thinks I'll be needing to do a rain dance
soon!
Hope you enjoyed your meal yesterday rose and good
luck with hosp appointment today. xx
Have a lovely day with GS leanfun. Don't envy you re the
road resurfacing work around your way - must be
horrendous! Bet you're all looking forward to the work
being completed.
Brilliant idea planting garlic in between your plants indie as
a snail/slug deterrent - I'll have to give it a try! :T
Sounds as if you're having a wonderful time sheils - have
been reading about the Book Club -it sounds brilliant!
Have a lovely & lucky Monday all and please take care,
whatever your plans.
