Morning, well done on the win leanfun. Good news on your email Alfie. I use to be terrible at confusing the pc and myself. I would call my sons name and he would give me that voice that said "what have you done now"..lol I was forever losing stuff and he would have to find it.But i am getting better now.I was at work yesterday minus my car as noticed the speedo was not working so back to the garage it went. I phoned them a couple of times yesterday but they were having problems getting the part as the car is getting on and they no longer make it so will give them a call later and see what they have come up with. Might be time to look for another one.
It's just started raining here, but it's not cold so think we could do with a storm to clear the air.Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -
Afternoon peeps. Sun is shining here and it is really warm. Loving it. Bit sore today think i overdid it yesterday but hay ho that's how the cookie crumbles as they say. Taking it a bit easier today but getting myself moving. Hope everyone is ok and enjoying some sunshine.0

Morning. Sorry to hear about your car Indie. Hope it can be repaired. Enjoy your gardening hope the rain keeps off for you.
Rose ho great you are on the mend best rest up a bit today.
Alfie pleased you have emails back. As you say once you know how tech stuff is easy pleasy. Trouble is it keeps changing. Still keeps the old brain ticking over.
Firefly thinking of you and your DH. Hugs.
Hope everyone has a good and lucky day.0 -
Hi everyone,
Just popped in to say we have been having lovely time and weather been really good after the first two cloudy days. Not seen any rain , sun not due until this afternoon today but coming back Sat and Sun they say. Can't complain, after all this is the north of Scotland. Been to lovely beaches, castles and gardens and going into Aberdeen tomorrow. Have been moving hotels most days as difficult to get reasonable prices up here. Got a few cheap Premier Inns and a free Holiday Inn Express with points.
Wishing you all lots of luck.

:hello: Good morning everyone
I hope you're all in fine fettle today! I've been rushing about
all over the place this morning. My family are due tomorrow,
staying until Monday then flying off to the States for a couple
of weeks. They're off to Disney World, Florida for two weeks
of fun! :j We used to take DD & DS there 2-3 times a year
(from an early age) so they're carrying on the family tradition.
We all fell in love Florida and would usually split the holiday
between the parks and the coast. We even took them on a
Disney cruise one year. Happy days!
I'm going to be in charge of their two doggies (lab & cocker
spaniel) plus their cat - so will have a full house for a while!
Looking forward to taking the dogs for walkies every day,
and also meeting up with some of the other doggie walkers
who I used to see when I took my beloved spaniel out. :A
Hope you can get you car sorted out indie. Lol at us & our poor
computers! To be honest, I was getting into a bit of a panic
so was really happy to have been lucky enough to find a way
round the email thing. As for the iPad, I didn't really have a clue &
just kept everything crossed - thankfully it worked for me ...
this time! I've also called my son on several occasions and he
says exactly the same as yours! :rotfl::rotfl:
rose, you are doing incredibly well! :T Try to have an easier
day today with just gentle exercises. xx
Hi sheils - lovely to 'see' you.Sounds as if you're both
having a brilliant break. :T Have a lovely time in Aberdeen
tomorrow.
leanfun - yep you are so right! The tech stuff certainly keeps
the old brain ticking over ..... just about! :rotfl::rotfl:
Have a lovely & lucky Friday all and please take care whatever
your plans.
Sending (((hugs))) with much love, fire**fly & DH. xxx

Well done rose, nice prize. I got my car back and it was something to do with the spindle thingy on the speedo, so i have it back now. I got the hedge cut and run the cuttings over to the tip. It didn't rain and the sun did come out this afternoon. Glad you are having a good time sheils,. Hope everyone had a good day. Hugs to ff and DH0

Morning everyone. Looks as it is going to be another warm sunny day here. Good you have your car back indie. Going to sort out DS's back garden with the grass seed. It is looking a bit sparse with the kids playing on it. GD has a swing and seesaw on it and GS has been playing football. Hope it is a bit better for you in Aberdeen Shiels.. Hugs and best wishes to ff and DH. Take care folks and be lucky.0

Morning, Rose well done on the Grass seed win. I was wondering what you were going to do with it. Rose do you have a lot of midges your way? Read online that it is one of the worst years.
Indie pleased your car speedo was fixed easily. Great weather was fine for your gardening.
Sheils your break sounds good. Hope the sun comes out for you.
Alfie have a great weekend with family. Hope they have an enjoyable flight. You will be getting some exercise with the dogs,
DH had a fall on grass on Thursday and hurt his right shoulder so yesterday we had him checked out at hospital. Fortunately it is just bruising but very painful. We have arnica gel and he is on pain killers but think it will take a while to be better.
Last week I did a bit of retail therapy in line. From Scolastica I bought some greatly reduced books for the children. This company gives a suggested age range for the books. Also if you nominate a school they are given a percentage of what you spend to buy books. I bought 12 books for £30 so am well stocked up for presents. I also bought some stripped towels from Christy. They had 70% off.
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend. Be lucky.0
