Evening peeps. It has been a quick day today. Neighbour kept me busy. Her son was bringing his new girlfriend to meet them. She wanted my recipe for Minestrone soup. Gave her it and she got the things she needed in from the shop. Do not know what she did to it but it was awfull so ran up and made a pot for her. Also gave her recipe for carbonarra so hope that turned out ok. I am down with a bit of lemon meringue pie which I am going to have later with a cuppa. Bit damp here tonight but still cold. Hope everyone has a nice evening.

Morning everyone. Damp and cold here this morning. Need to get slow cooker on this morning. GK's want soup. So once butcher opens at 8am and I can get ham ribs for stock that will be under way. Wingo I don't mind decorating but I have really high ceilings so it is better nowadays that I get someone in although I can do around doors and skirtong boards. It is expensive once you start as you tend to spot things that could do with replacing etc. Alfie glad you had a nice time yesterday and dental apointment went ok. FF hope you get some better weather today and you are not too stressed with arrangements or lack of them. Take care. Love and luck to all.

    Good Morning,

Feeling cold here at the moment but supposed to be a nice day later.
DD got some of her essay done and BT got her internet back on which was good (and surprising)
I was busy cooking for the freezer yesterday as will be picking DS3 up on Sunday and will be having few people for meals over the next week.
Making some soup today too rose and going to freeze some for next week too as heading off to Stirling tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a lucky day.

    sheils x

    :hello: Good morning everyone

I haven't had a good start to the day here - not once but
twice I've accidentally deleted my posts on here  so
hoping this one is third time lucky and I'm definitely saving
it as I go along! :p

Crikes rose - you were mega busy yesterday! Feel so sorry
for your neighbour with her failed attempt at following your
Minestrone soup recipe! :D Thankfully you saved the
day. :A Hope you enjoyed your slice of Lemon Meringue
Pie - it's always been a fav of mine.

So pleased that BT got your DDs internet up and running
again sheils. Sounds as if you were also busy yesterday -
cooking and stocking up the freezer.

:xmassmile Have a wonderful Xmas dinner next week with
    DS3 and family. xx

It's looking a bit gloomy outside at the mo but still fairly mild
again this morning so may wander out and crack on with a
bit more gardening later on today while the weather is half
    decent. jardin1.gif

I received the 'Big Garden Birdwatch' pack t'other day & they've
included two recipes - Bird Cake (for birdies :p) and
Birdwatch bites (for me :p). :j Must admit - the bites look and
sound scrumptious so will be making a batch to nibble on while
I'm doing my birdwatching hour. :D

I've also decided to do Sugar-Free February  together with
a motley crew from the Betty thread. :p :j :rotfl::rotfl:

I've chosen to give up chocolate. Others are giving up various
sugary food items ... including our lovely Colin who eventually
succumbed to a weeny bit of peer pressure  :rotfl: and
is now giving up biccies for the duration of February. :T :j:j

I know exactly what you mean fire**fly about cats disliking
anything new or different until they get used to it. I quite
    often get the look! :grinheart

Morning peeps. Another cold damp one here. Was going to head out this morning to do a food shop but have decided to do it online. Freezer is pretty full so only need to fill cupboards and buy cleaning products and fruit and veg. I have had a hankering for some chicken noodle soup with dumplings so may make some later. Ds took away soup I had made and I only kept enough for a plate for me. Hope the weather does not turn too bad for you shiels if you are heading for Stirling. Where else are you off too on your trip? Off to make a cuppa and a bacon roll as I am a tad hungry this morning. Take care.

Ready as I'll ever be fire**fly for the bird watch. :grinheart All
the birdies were watching and waiting for me to go back
indoors yesterday so they could swoop down and enjoy the
grubs etc in the freshly dug soil. :p Although I did have the
company of my little robin who always insists on following me
    around waiting for his food!

I also gave the bird baths a good clean out and as soon as I
went indoors and peeked through the patio doors, three
starlings were already enjoying a good splash about. Usually
it's the big fat pigeons who gets in there first and totally
    empty the baths. :rotfl:

Many thanks re sugar free Feb - really looking forward to
it - always up for a challenge especially if it has 'chocolate'
    written all over it! chocolate-smiley.gif?1292867569
