Alfie primula sounds good. Where DS stays there is a bank up the road that usually is full of primulas all growing wild. A lovely sight.
Alfie that Lappy seems Very frustrating.
Raining cats and dogs here.
Sheils well done on your win. So pleased you have had some good weather.
Firefly hope you are feeling better now.
Indie hope the boys are not finding the hour change too bad. We heard DDs are having problems with Gks.
Take care and good luck all.0 -

You never see forsythia around here, (County Durham). Sad for me , as my mum had a huge bush of it in her garden, and it's one of the many plants that remind me of her.
I think I remember that Bruce Forsyth said he was descended from the Forsyth of forsythia.
I spotted the comment on doing a thirty degree wash. I have a Smart Meter and was shocked at the difference in usage when I did a wash at forty, compared to one at thirty. Mine's a cold-fill machine, a Bosch, and about as efficient as I could get, so it's not the machine.
I have noticed no deterioration in the cleanliness of clothing from washing at thirty degrees. In fact, quite a few items now suggest washing at thirty.
I don't use a powder though. A friend commented that she couldn't get powder to dissolve in cool washes,
I use a washing liquid or washing gel, these have no such issues.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all ok on this glorious Maundy Thursday.
As predicted ..... it's a damp start here this morning!
I'm hoping it'll turn out like yesterday's weather, rain
first thing, sunshine for the remainder of the day!
Re forsythia - I can remember Bruce Forsyth saying
that too mcculloch29 ..... interesting link below.
The young Bruce was a direct descendant of William
Forsyth, a founder of the Royal Horticultural Society, whose
name was given to the plant forsythia.

I've been using a 30 degree wash since Earth Hour.
And I agree - many labels now suggest washing
garments at low temperatures - every little bit helps! :T
Must dash - another busy day ahead - have a lovely and
lucky day all and please take care whatever your plans. xx

Woke to sun shine here but think rain will be coming.
Hi Mucculloch. Until you said I didn!!!8217;t know that about Bruce Forsyth. Thanks for the link Alfie just had a read. Yesterday the heavy rain has not taken away all the flowers. I suppose Durham is still very cold in spring.
Yesterday I saw pictures of Ken Didd funeral. Wow it came out as DIdd not Dodd. Like Bruse he kept going.
DD has decided they are not coming this weekend but the following one as she has annual leave Friday and Monday that weekend. So I have a bit longer to prepare for them coming. Rain forecast for this weekend here and lots of people travelling so following one will be better.
Take care everyone. Nearly the end of the month again so good luck.0 -

Hopefully nephew will be allowed to drive after seeing Dr on the 12th April. He has been good and not moved the car once although he has started it up often to keep the battery topped up. I am working the next 3 days so busy weekend for me. I think i have won a rug as have had email from Hermes telling me it has picked rug up.
