:hello: Good morning all!
It's a tad damp here too fire**fly but slowly brightening up.
At least I have a good excuse this morning to catch up with
the comps now!
I've just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow - it's due to
be a beautiful sunny day. Fingers crossed!
Take care fire**fly with your head cold - good idea to stay
in - the spring clean of the shed can wait and I'm guessing
the spiders won't have any complaints re the delay!:rotfl:
Is it this Monday you're off to Newcastle sheils? Hope the
weather behaves & have a brilliant time. :T

Good afternoon all, drab but dry here today. Off to DD's in Leeds today so the dogs will have a lovely time with their dogs. Can't believe how big Lilly is getting she looks as big as Lottie but not as heavy as she is a big white fluff ball.
Have a lovely trip on Monday Sheils and hope the weaather holds for you.
Glad puddy was OK at the vets Alfie. Need to take Lilly soon otherwise Badger and Douglas will be having a good time :rotfl:
Hope your cold clears quickly firefly and take care to keep warm.
Hi everyone else hugs for anyone needing one.
See you soon.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Shiels hope Newcastle goes ok , ad that dinner sounds devine!
Alfie glad kitty was ok, One of my has very long hair and needs to be shampooed and showered once a month or he matts..Can you imagine ha ha. He forgives me when I get the fluffy towel out and rub him dry. Yes cat carriers here are also associated with having things cut off or inserted in , poor things!
I run a club where we earn wwf badges..Theres some fab resources on the site if you want to earn a badge, they only cost £1 plus stamp postage.
HI Fire and lomax, hope you are both well !
Having trouble with sites no longer being secure so need to look why that is MSE for example..unless that is the case for everyone? Also blank pages on facebook with nothing on it! Most odd.
Hoping to get some gardening down this weekend, clothes swap shop and a visit to a local refurbished historic house (Got free tickets with Ken big weekend out) then a nice lunch with my mum.
Elder son and dad have gone to look at a fishing site I saw on a recent walk, so I am comping and having hot flushes, sigh though I got rid of those months ago!
Take care alll xCompers challenge 27/70

Thanks everyone and yes it is this Monday we head off. Actually staying at Gateshead, walkable to Metro Centre for 3 nights and then a Village hotel which is near Tynemouth/Whitley Bay.
Alfie, I have made a promise about the left over food (not difficult as I do try not to over buy and waste it). Will do the the light switch off too.
Hope you feel better soon FF.
Have a lovely time with the family Sylvia.
Enjoy the historic house etc mummy2threeboys. We love visiting houses, gardens and castles and are members of English Heritage and Nat Trust for Scotland so go to loads to get our moneys worth!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Hi everyone.
Firefly hope you are feeling better soon. Colds seem to be doing the rounds. Spoke to DD1 and she is full of it too and DH has sore throat.
Indie hope you have a good weekend at work. Only four days school run next week then holidays.
Mummyto3boys hope you have had a good weekend. Great you had the days out in Kent.
Sylvia it was great to hear from you and that you are both well and sound really busy. Is the puppy yours or your daughters? I seem to remember you saying something about your daughter training a dog. Hope all the exercise is doing you good. We are going to try to walk more when the weather picks up.
Alfie pleased your vets visit went so well. Thanks for the car video.
Sheils hope you have a good visit to Newcastlr tomorrow. Somewhere I have never been to. Although all the family have been there for football.
Your meals sound great. Brilliant to have chefs in the family. My niece married a chef oddly enough he works at a prestigious golf course too but in Surrey. They have the top cricketers and foodfallers go there.
Well not sure if DD1 is coming next weekend or following one as she has two long weekends off work and GKs on holidays but must get ready for them coming. Think I will make some crumble and freeze it. Great idea about raspberries Sheils.
Rose hope you are ok.
Do hope weather forecast might be wrong for next week. Although I remember many cold Easters.
Good luck everyone for the coming week.0 -
Good Morning,
Another beautiful morning here. Washing up to date so getting our bed changed before we go tomorrow. Supposed to be nice tomorrow too.
Forecast showing mainly rain in Newcastle for next week with a touch of snow on Thursday mornng so fingers crossed the heavy snow won't appear. Think we will go to the Gibside NT estate on way to Newcastle tomorrow as forecast good and there are some lovely walks there - might try out my new walking boots that DD gave me for my birthday.
The raspberries were lovely in the crumble leanfun. DS did them in pan first with the sugar and apples and didn't need many. I have always just put apples straight in baking dish which he says is wrong.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.

sorry to hear DH & DD1 are not well leanfun & hope
they soon get better x
great tip re the apples thanks sheils,

hope everyone has a lovely sunday xplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
:hello: Good afternoon everyone
I hope you're all ok on this glorious Sunday!
Didn't have a particularly good start to the day - had finished
my morning post earlier when suddenly I got the dreaded blue
screen. The lappy crashed & I lost the lot. So - here I
go again but this time will be saving it as I go along!
Great you're feeling a little better fire**fly. Lol at the spiders -
I reckon they knew it was time for the annual shed spring
clean and had already legged it away! :rotfl::rotfl:
Great tip re the apples for the crumble sheils. I did quite a
few of the earth hour promises yesterday and admittedly
most I already 'try' to do.I've also just done a laundry wash
on 30 degrees instead of 40 (which is the temp I usually use)
so will be interesting to see if there's any difference. Also
yesterday evening I turned the lights off but had candles
burning - the cat did wander in to see what on earth was
going on! :rotfl: Actually it was really nice and relaxing and
the scented candles were lovely - took me back to my
hippy days!:rotfl:
You're most welcome re the World Down’s Syndrome Day video
leanfun. I loved it and well done to all the mums and kiddies
involved in making it - absolutely brilliant. :A :T
I don't think my puddy cat would be able to cope with a
shampoo and shower mummy2threeboys. :rotfl:
Thankfully she has short hair but having said that .... she's
really moulting at the mo and the fur gets everywhere! I'm
forever hoovering up.
Just been reading about the WWF badges - such a great
cause. :T
Oh! I've also been getting warnings recently re certain
sites no longer being secure and have been asked if 'I
wished to return to safety'. Even though I know they're ok -
so not entirely sure what's going on!It's never happened
with MSE though.
Sounds as if you're in for a very busy but enjoyable
weekend - have a wonderful lunch with your Mum.
rose - hope all is well with you and yours. xxx
Have a lovely rest of the day all and please take care
whatever your plans.
