Happy birthday indie. Have a nice one even though you are having to sort family things out:bdaycake: Sometimes when we are older things have to be sorted and others do not realise we would like a day off. It is not them or us but the way we are used to taking charge or are we being taken for granted ( they will cope) not saying everyone will cope but within forums we are used to understanding things more than other (youngsters and oldies can be selfish so and sos) and within families. I take the middle ground and listen to them. Then make up my mind.

Good afternoon all,


Been a fairly miserable day here. Managed to take Ollie out a walk while it was dry. When we arrived at the house we found he had chewed up all the mail though, including my birthday card which Dd had ordered from Amazon. He had also chewed up Dd's Road Tax renewal letter and a note from the postman saying where a parcel had been delivered plus the households so bit of a mess.

On the bright side though I have won my first decent prize of the year - £25 Weird Fish Voucher. :j

Well done on voucher win shiels. It has been raining on and off most of the day here as well. No snow so far but it is getting a bit cold have just turned thermostat up a couple of degrees. Off to cook chicken with rice and veg for dinner. May even do a curry sauce with it.

Have just had a convector heater delevered think it is facebook comp (not sure) but will have a good search to say thankyou. Will come in handy when I do not need to put on full central heating.

The meal was lovely last night,i didn't have a drink till i got home as i was driving but made up for it,lol. It's a wet and dull start here but hoping the sun comes out later.Hope you all have a lucky day

We went out yesterday. Only to take DS to a station for his train. He’s still coughing but a lot better and able to go back. DH was not walking very well so stayed in car while I picked up a few bits. His cough has gone but the top of his leg and back is very painful. He will try to rebook appoint.

:hello: Good morning all


Hope you're all in fine fettle today. It was pouring first thing
this morning so decided to take myself off to supermarket
& stock up on provisions, instead of going for my early walk.
It's brightening up now & the sun's just starting to peek out
from behind the clouds, so looks like it'll be walkies
later on.





Lent is upon us ..... is anyone participating? To be honest,
there's not much more I can realistically give up! Chocs, crisps,
biccies n' cakes have all been given a temporary heave ho
these past couple of months (part of my keep fit routine). Notice
that I highlighted 'temporary'! :rotfl: I daren't give up coffee
for Lent, love it too much. I'll have to put my thinking cap on
today & see what I can come up with!
