Morning, Hope you have a lovely time with family Alfie. Well done on the wins leanfun. I have some crackers here to make rose, don't know if i will get round to them,lol .I love chip buttys ff, haven't had one for ages. Glad to hear your DD got to Blackpool ok sheils. She must have hit the road at the right time. I was at work yesterday and one of the relatives went to Asda to pick up a perscription for her mum and said it was so quiet in there she was shocked. Maybe it's the lull before the storm. I have a stinking cold, sons had it and thought i had escaped it but no, so hoping it goes or over the worst of it by christmas day Hope you all have a lucky day.

Afternoon folks. Been foggy here all morning. No sign of it moving any time soon. Chip buttys love them especially with fresh butter. Dil's gran had a fall yesterday and fractured her wrist they kept her in overnight as she didn't know how or why she fell. She is hoping to get home this afternoon sometime but is going to stay with dil's mum as she wont be able to manage on her own. Her other daughter will be with her as well when dil's mum is at work. (she is a nurse and does night shift two nights a week) . Hope I find everyone well.

Just reading messages with 5 year old grandson. He loves the Christmas cracker FireFly.we have had a great time with it. Somehow managed to send it on messenger to his mum.
Great you had a visitor today really cheery and yummy to chip butty.

Rose I think your great making crackers. Sorry about your DIls nan. Hope she is home soon. Good that she has people to look after her. Hope fog has cleared.

Indie hope your cold is better soon. GS here has a cold too. We have been out to pick up last present and some bits in our local Aldi’s traffic crazy but the had everybcheckout open so we were out in no time as we didn’t need much.

Sheils know what you mean about family growing up. Just wish we were younger for the GKs. Still it’s great to spend time with them.

Sounds like you are all organised and going to have fun.
Hope everyones cold gets better before Xmas. DD has got tonsillitis again.
She gets it often but they won't take them out. She usually has to get antibiotics but of course nowhere open at weekends so is making do with something from chemist. She says she isn't too bad so fingers crossed it passes.
DH has bought me some lovely flowers but has given me them to put in vase rather than hide them away.


Going to get a few comps done now .

Lo Christmas Eve already.. DD1 has gone to work and brought GS here. I think they finish early. They are trying to play jingle bells on the piano now!

At least it’s fine here today and I don’t think too cold not been out yet.

Sheils hope your DD is feeling better. Flowers sound lovely. Was going to buy some here but a bit difficult where to put them with the little ones.

Cold and frosty here this morning! Not vanishing either.Going to wait until afternoon before we go out a walk - don't want to end up in A&E!
DH making some nice vegetable soup for lunch.


DD is feeling a lot better now thanks everyone. She didn't try for a Drs appointment this morning.


Hope you got everything organised for the food bank rose and DILs gran is ok.

Afternoon everyone. All done and dusted here no more to do except some cooking thanks shiels. Dil's gran was taken back to hospital last night she was only home a few hours when she became unwell. She has some kind of infection so they have her on an antibiotic drip. I am on cooking duty tomorrow so the family can visit her in the afternoon. DS is going to peel all the veg tonight so that I can crack on when I get there. Hope to god dil's gran will be ok as my mum spent her last Christmas in hospital and passed away on the 27th. So this time of year is a bit bittersweet for us. Hope I find you all well.

Afternoon, thanks everyone ref cold. Today is day 2 so hopefully it will be on the way out tomorrow. I am off tomorrow and having sons GF nan join us for the day. Finished all shopping this morning thank goodness, there is always something i forget and if i have we will do without,lol. I went to Tesco's at 9.45 yesterday thinking it wouldn't be busy but there were lines of people waiting with full trollys for the tills to open as being sunday didn't open till 10. The shop had opened at 9 so people could get the shop. I had problems parking as well. It's a huge tesco extra and every space was full. It was manic in there. Popped over earlier today and again had to wait for a parking space but wanted some cold relief so only had to go to self serve and paid for it that way rather than face the large lines of people at the tills.
Sorry to hear about DIL gran rose.Hopefully the meds will work quickly for her and she can come home. I hate this time of year in my job as we always lose people. We lost 2 last week. Part of the job you never get use to. Glad DD is feeling better sheils, they seem reluctant to take tonsils out now, but that don't help people who suffer repeated tonsilitas.Must got on, going to cook a honey roat ham. Hope your all having a good day.

thanks, yes, now i've DH's meds/drops all organised properly
& got in a proper routine am managing to sort things out & get a bit more time for doing other things.

am glad i get mine online as couldn't manage to go & fetch
it anyway & same as you if i've forgot anything we'll
do without
