Had a busy morning here. Decided to pop up to our garage as they had a blue demonstrator of our usual car (Mitsubishi ASX). DH getting a bit worried about how high our milage is and one or two other things.
Wasn't that impressed with it as had 1,000miles more than advert said it had and looked bit used for nearly new car. Anyway, brought out our haggling skills and have ordered a new one for about same as we expected to pay for that one! Had seen good deals on Arnold Clark so mentioned we were going to try there - worked a dream. Not sure when it will come but quite excited.
Did some shopping on way home but no bargains.
There was a message on the answer machine when we got back and have won a silver pendant worth £80 on the local radio advent - first decent win for a while. All in all a decent day.
Glad everyone had good Xmas and hope everyone is well.

Morning all. Cold but dry one here. Indie it is rotten having a chest infection. Good luck with puffer. I have two for asthma and they are a god send at times. At the mo I have a rotten cold but it is not bothering me. Only the drip from my nose is driving me nuts as I am constantly wiping with a tissue lol. Nothing to complain about really. Hope I find everyone else well and fit. Congratulations to comp winners.0

Afternoon all. Indie pleased to hear you had a doctor’s appointment and some medication before the weekend. Do hope the infection clears up soon. Know what you mean about this time of year.

Was sunny here earlier. Been sorting out cards excetra for oldest GS in Scotland. His birthday is next week. Didn’t expect a queue at sub post office.
Have 7 year old GS here today can’t get him to do anything. He’s watching Tom and Jerry now. Know how he feels. Hope DD1 comes home early.
Have a good evening everyone. Fish and chips takeaway for Us.0 -
Hi all,
Hope the antibiotics are doing their stuff indie - rotten to be ill at this time of year.
I was sorting out Dd's Bfs present and card today leanfun. Shame when peoples birthdays are near Xmas. DD never buys bfs birthday present until the sales start! Hope your fish and chips were good.
Ds2 and his gf are coming tomorrow so we are having a family buffet with my parents etc. Shame Ds3 can't be here - we will need to celebrate again when he comes down. Usually we can sort it so DS2 and DS3 come down together but hasn't worked this year.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Hello folks. Have had a lazy morning but nust get my backside in to gear and get hoover and duster out and whiz round. Neighbour is having a party tonight so going up for a couple of hours. Have made her a quiche and some coleslaw. Luckily I had some flan bases in the freezer so not much in the way of hard work. GK's are of to a pantomime tonight with their cousins so they will have a ball. Hopefully anyone with a lurgy is feeling better. Take care.0

Afternoon folks. Hope I find you well. Have been having a bit of a cupboard and wardrobe clear out. So have a few things for charity shop and loads for bin men lol. Have a busy day tomorrow as I have shopping to do and soup and steak pies to make for DS and family. He is going to pick it up tomorrow evening as I am not going to him on New Years Day. (Can't be bothered with it.) Usually have a few neighbours popping in on the day but thankfully they don't stay long. So will probably succumb to a few gin and tonics or a glass or two of wine lol.0
