Goodness it has been quiet in here today so I hope you are all enjoying yourself with friends and family. Have decided to do soup overnight in slow cooker and stew for steak pies in another slow cooker that DS has brought down for me. Have seasoning for s/pie in cupboard. Got it from butcher last week. So apart from shopping can relax and have a few glasses of wine with friend who is coming over for dinner tomorrow. She can have soup and s/pie as I am cooking no more meals have loads in freezer.0

Hi everyone,
Had a lovely day with family yesterday as DS2 and his GF were down for late xmas celebrations so we had a lovely buffet and lots of drinks with my parents and Dd and her bf. We have all decided to go up to DS2s tomorrow night and stay the night to celebrate Hogmanay. DS3 is going to come down to his house too so will have a busy time again. They couldn't stay here another night as GF was working tomorrow and DS3 hasn't time to get here and then back to Pitlochry for his time off.
Sounds like you are keeping busy rose.

Morning everyone. Mild but damp here. Looks like it will be rain rain rain here for today. Second lot of soup on so cooking should be finished by early afternoon. Off out to shops in a couple of hours. Hip is a bit sore this morning but hopefully it will ease off as day goes on.0

Morning. We had a big shutdown here over the weekend. Just DS here so had a good rest.
GS is here this morning. He has a fixation with spinning things. He’s been inventing lots of spinning tops from Lego.
Rose you have been very busy with all your cooking. I expect the damp isn’t helping your hip. Hope it’s a bit better soon. Enjoy your friends visit.
Sheils sounds like you had a great family gathering and another one still to come. Enjoy Hogmanay.
Firefly hope you too had some left over so not too much cooking. We still had food in freezer so DH went shopping in the garage freezer last night so more cooking today for when DD1 comes back from work.
Very dull here today. Take care everyone and Goodluck.0 -
