It was fine here today. Tesco order arrived ok thankfully. Indie feel sorry for anyone working for supermarkets. People go crazy. Like you I’m so pleased we have nearly everything and have a good coop nearby.

Firefly hope your shopping has arrived. We added some wine. So all prepared.

Alfie you sound so busy. Well done on solving your plumbing problem. Had to smile at water coming up elseware and the toys floating.

We have DD with GKs coming tonight so we have been busy here. DS is coming tomorrow. Full house here.

Sheils hope you are having a good time.

Well that is us home and well stocked up with booze and food!
It doesn't feel as close to Xmas to me as it seems to do to the rest of you.
I suppose it is because Xmas is on a Tuesday. I expect a lot of people will need to work on Monday.
Anyway we had a lovely little break, weather was a bit mixed but we had some nice sunshine for 2 of the days. Bought a few little extras for presents and really enjoyed the theatre.
DD and her BF are going to theatre tonight and coming home tomorrow. Must admit I never thought of tomorrow being busy on the roads.
DD heard yesterday she passed her last big essay exam (by skin of her teeth she said!) so that is her with less than six few months to go and everything passed.



Well done on the wins FF. Most I can manage is some pennies on Quidco!


Must go and organise a meal. Wishing everyone lots of luck.

Thought I'd pop in here to say hello., an oldie comper returning to the inn!
Haven't been on the site or comping for a fair few years.
Thought I'd have a go at the advents and maybe get back into it.
So hello to any oldie members that remember me, and hi to everyone else!

Oh quick question, when i was last on, I was able to change the way the threads appeared.
Search for a list of end dates, ie: list all competitions with end dates ending soon.
I can't seem to find how I used to do it.
It could be my brain not working as I'm older and much more forgetful now.
But could anyone help me.

Afternoon folks. Hope I find you all well and warm. Christmas shopping finally finished just have some wrapping to do. Waiting on food order being delivered that is going to the foodbank. Also have some food in freezer that is going over there on Monday as they do not have facilities for it. They can refrigerate but not freeze. Have to pick up turkey and trimmings and a few other things on Monday. DS is going to pick me up to do that and take me to foodbank early morning.

Firefly my order was yesterday as DD and GKs came last night originally until Sunday as she was due to work Christmas Eve. Then they decided to close there office Christmas Eve so she said she could stay over Christmas. She arrived safely yesterday.

Sheils well done to your DD. As Alfie says the time seems to have flown by.

Alfie have great time with family.

Yesterday I watched the postman come up to the front door and he seemed ages going back down garden. Later we found a note to say he couldn’t deliver a parcel. DH spent ages in a queue today collecting a book win from My weekly. I allso had a children’s book win from Twitter. Oddly evenough the story is based in Scotland and someone dreaming about going to America.

Morning all,


Everyone seems to be busy except me! Must admit I miss the Xmas fun of having 4 kids all having fun and opening presents. As there is a 10 year gap between the two lots of kids there was always something happening. Don't miss them all going out to parties and coming back in the middle of the night though.
DD got back from Blackpool ok and don't think the roads were that busy.
Got a few presents to wrap today and will go and buy a few things at Tesco.

Evening everyone. Had a bit of a busy day. GK's were here for a few hours so they helped me with a start to making the Christmas Crackers. Just a few left to do. Think we will be back to shop bought ones as they are now becoming expensive to fill. Pound shop has a lot less now that will fit in to a cracker so have had to look else where. Luckily cousin who works on a beauty counter in Boots gave me a few samples of perfume and aftershave. Also had a few things in drawer from freebies board. Hope you are all nearing the end of your preparations for the big day.
