We picked up Premiere League football shirt from post office sorting office yesterday. So DS will be very happy next time we see him. Shirts would be £65 to cannot believe how expensive they are now.
Wow Alfie that V&A building looks stunning. Well done on another posting.
Hank’s for the guide dog link. That association is amazing.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing.0 -
Morning, well done on the wins leanfun. It's great when you can win for other people. It's just started raining here and they have said it will be wet all day with the best day being tomorrow. I went out and did some tidying up of plants out back earlier, Haven't decided what i am doing today yet. Hope you all have a lovely day.0

"Yes! We have no bananas,
We have no bananas today.
We’ve string beans, and onions,
Cabbages and scallions
And all kind of fruit, and say,
We have an old fashioned to-mah-to
Long Island po-tah-to
But yes! We have no bananas,
We have no bananas today!"

:hello: Good morning everyone & happy 'Banana Lovers'
day!
It absolutely chucked it down all day yesterday!
Think it's going to be a mix of sun n' light cloud today without
the wet stuff!
It's also the World Gravy Wrestling Championships today! All
proceeds are donated to various charities. :A

Posted the event on the Betty thread & a lovely poster suggested
the following.....
"instead of wrestling on a tarpaulin, they should be wrestling on
a giant Yorkshire pudding!" :j :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
:T Hahahahaha - really made me chuckle! :T :rotfl:
Have a lovely Bank Holiday Monday all and please take care

Hi everyone,
Back home and trying to get up todate. So much washing to do as bedding, towels etc from our holiday home stay as well as our clothes.
Weather not great either and so much to do before we head off again. I know it is our own fault but the last break was 7 nights we hadn't really planned for. (great fun though) Grass is looking long but too wet to cut and car is off for service tomorrow. Trying to get a decent price for home insurance too as Saga really taking the mick. Have put it up another £78 this year and want extra things done.
Must get on.
Enjoy your bank holiday and good luck.

:hello: Good morning everyone
I hope you're all ok.It looks a bit dull out at the moment
but expect the weather will be much the same as yesterday,
a mix of sun & cloud.
The garden is already drying out after the deluge of rain the
other day, we needed the rain ... but not that much! The
bonus was that I didn't have to trot out & water all the patio
pot plants yesterday. :T
Lovely to 'see' you sheils. Sounds as if you're going
to be mega busy before your next break. Don't blame you
for shopping around re. home insurance - Saga wanting
another £78 (+ extra things done) is a rip off!
I'm not really looking forward to today ... off out to buy
jeans for myself - I live in jeans but dislike all the faffing
around & trawling from shop to shop! _pale_
Down to my last decent pair (favourite make/style but no
longer available now) so thought I'd bite the bullet &
take a trip into town. It's impossible to order new ones online
now, it was always much easier with my old jeans because
I knew they would fit perfectly. I always find jeans &
trousers in general all vary with the sizing. I'm expecting
to be out all day _pale_ - fingers n' paws crossed I hit lucky
with the first shop I visit! :T 'Pigs might fly' springs to
mind! :rotfl::rotfl:
Have a lovely & lucky Tuesday all and please take care
whatever your plans.

Morning, dull start to the day here and like you yesterday sheils i have loads of washing to do. Hope you got yours all dry.I worked yesterday for a change, don't usually work bank holidays any more (done my fair share over the years) but as i was only 1-2-1 and not running around all day said i would work Have nephew today it's his last week of holidays, that 6 weeks flew past.Got a few bits to get at shops later, that's my day .Hope you all have a lucky day.0

Going to be a cloudy day here but forecast for sun the next two days so hoping we manage to get the grass cut then as far too wet just now. Grass is longest and greenest it has been all year!
Finished up puting a lot of washing in dryer indie as we kept getting showers yesterday.Hope you are luckier. Anyway, everything ready to iron now (sigh!)
I sympathise with you looking for the right jeans Alfie. Unless you want skinny straight ones it is a nightmare. Manufacturers are missing a trick as I know so many people who can't find the kind they want. Both DS2 and his gf have been moaning about it too so it isn't just us older ones!
See so many people in jeans that really don't fit or suit them these days.
DH is taking our car to Dumfries to get its 3rd service today - our last "free"one. Think he is going to leave it and get buses back and collect it tomorrow. I will get the ironing done and finish sorting out the house insurance. Got it down to Axa or LV now but couldn't get on LV site yesterday as it was down and bank holiday. Looks like I will be able to save £200 and not have other conditions to sort out like using locks on all windows etc! Was impressed with Saga when we had to make the claim but definitely wouldn't recomend them now. How they can suddenly say you need to use locks on all windows when previously I have said we don't have locks on all the windows, some people will just renew without reading all the info and won't be covered if anything happens. Makes me angry.
Anyway, hope everyone has a lucky day. Must get on as I want to make DH a steak pie today as well aseverything else. Usually make him one on special occaisons so this is a late one for his birthday.

Happy belated birthday to hubby Shiels. I do the streak thing with hubby. We don't go in for much fuss at birthdays. But we do things like allow whoever to pick what they want for dinner, and make pancakes for breakfast. Then just a simple birthday tea. xCompers challenge 27/70
